Such a cool event
This weekend is the Firefighter Combat Challenge and there are firefighters from all over the country that come and compete against each other. It is basically like the Olympics of firefighting, where they compete in different physical challenges for the fastest time and it is pretty amazing to watch them in action.
The amount of dedication to the job and their training that these firefighters have is pretty awesome. During yesterday's event, I took almost 700 pictures and have been editing all morning, but I wanted to share some of them here just to show how cool this event was. I hope that you enjoy the pictures of the competition.
This was such a cool event and it was a ton of fun being there in the middle of the action to get these pictures. I still have a few hundred to go through and edit, but this is just a small handful of the pictures so far. I hope that you enjoyed them.
Wow such a fun event and cool to see something like this! My kiddos would have loved being in the midst of all the action.

Were you hired to take these or just doing them for fun?
Your kids would have loved it. They had a smaller course for the kids to play on and let them shoot hoses and stuff. I wasn't technically hired to cover the event, but my wife's work is one of the sponsors and they asked if I could take some photos for them.

That’s bad ass! Great photos too dude. I remember when I was a kid living on fort ord when it was an army base, and watching the fire department put a tower on fire to practice. They even had bleachers for the public to come watch.
I should have been a firefighter. They are way cooler than cops.
I bet a lot of these firefighters are capable of some pretty incredible things.

That dude’s mustache is ridiculous in the best way. Reminds me of the one time I shaved mine that way just to be funny for a day.
There were so many awesome mustaches there last night. lol. I shaved my beard off before and have a fumanchu for a day.
It’s so easy to go from bearded man to goofy ass looking dude thanks to facial hair.
