Such a cool place
Charleston, South Carolina is a really cool city. It is filled with so much history and beautiful scenery. One of the coolest parts about this area is all of the really cool trees and moss that grows on them.
Probably the coolest tree in the area is the Angel Oak right outside of Charleston. It is estimated to be around 500 years old and its longest branch is 187 feet long.
The tree is so massive that it is hard to get a good shot of the entire thing. I wish that we had gone at sunrise or sunset because it would look amazing during golden hour, but I am sure the area would be packed with photographers trying to get the perfect shot.
I would love to travel back to the Charleston area with my wife and take a horse drawn carriage ride around the historic sections of the city.
One of the places we visited was a plantation that made bricks that were used all over the city back in the early days.
One of the craziest parts of the brick plantation was that these bricks were handmade, usually by slave children and you could see finger prints in the bricks. Just imagine how hot these were when the little kids where forming them. It is pretty sad to see and to realize that slavery pretty much built this part of the country.
This area is really cool to visit, but I don't think that I could ever live here. It gets way too hot and humid for my liking. But the scenery would be amazing to see on a daily basis. I really do love the way these trees and the moss looks. I bet it gets pretty creepy looking during Halloween. I think that would be a really cool time to visit.
Wow man that tree is massive! What a beautiful creation! Looking at the fingerprints on the bricks really gets you thinking about what really took place back then. Sad to think about. Awesome pictures bro!
That tree was really cool to see. It's nice that stuff like that has been admired and preserved for so long. Ya, those fingerprints are a sad reminder of the messed up past we have here in the US.
I saw trees like that in Florida too, looked majestic as fck.
I had major problems with framing this trees as well lol.
The tree is just so big it is hard to get it all in frame and have it look cool. lol
Wow the scenery is awesome. Wouldn’t mind visiting one day.
Those trees… epic. So old and the moss on them makes them look magical. Great captures!
Thanks for sharing with us. Happy Saturday 👋🏻😊
Thanks for stopping by. Hopefully one day you can visit and see it in person. It really is a cool sight.
You are welcome 😊 we will… as we want to see so much from the States 😉
Have a great Sunday!
Yeah you are absolutely right. This is best and impressive place for visiting. The way we see these trees are very beautiful and you have shared a building picture which is also very beautiful.
Thank you
This place looks very peaceful and relaxing.
This is my favorite type of photography, and your tree photographs in this post are truly breathtaking, some of the best I've ever seen.
Great shots bro.
Thanks man. The trees were so cool to see. I wish that they grew where I live. I’m fine without all the humidity though.
