This is the start for a new adventure in search of the Field Horsetail
this where I am is a small village Sipan in Istria and I also bought some Bounty chocolate to have a little energy and material for some nice photos
so I set off at 11:09 h in the strongest sun to ride and look for that plant
after the village Usicevi Dvori I turn right, towards Kavran
and there is a long, long white road dusty and fugue but wonderfully beautiful
the powder is not lacking but the plants look sympathetically dusty
even when someone passes by you as if driving a rally, everything is dusty
this is the entrance to the Budava Quarry but without work clothes do not enter and you must be extremely careful no pranks too dangerous to play
I will go there later after harvesting the plant
after that on the right is a small resort widening the aisle to stop and enjoy the view
view of Budava bay
little local wild vegetation
this from behind the constructions it is for the ponds
there are cages in the sea and buoy barrels for pedoc breeding
this is what a car looks like when driving on that road
further along the road there is an old carved guard at the edge of the road that guards where the abysses are but
hand-carved and of good quality useful
a real work of art that is almost unnoticed
a large fern comes to the fore when it is full of this powder
there is more to drive
a beautiful hill and a long transmission line
ode this cobweb is really big huge if it wasn't for that powder you wouldn't even see it this big
here at last at the very end of the road is located horsetail plant
(Lat. Equisetum arvense)
in these areas it is a very rare plant and little is known about it so I am glad because it is not devastated and grows like a weed all over the area
It grows in the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere. In our country, it grows along streams and in humid places in forests and meadows
It is a medicinal plant
The plant contains ascorbic acid (0.19%), carotene, saponin equisetonin (about 5%), flavonoids (quercetin, isoquercitin, kaempferol, luteolin, equisetrin), fats, nicotine,
silicic acid (up to 25%), organic acids (malic, oxalic and aconite), fatty oil, tannins and resins, phenylcarboxylic acid, mineral salts, sitosterol
used in traditional Austrian herbal medicine as a tea, or externally as a bath or compress, to treat disorders of the skin, locomotor system,
I like it both as a tea and as a bath
it is good for healing, kidney and urinary system, rheumatism and gout
it is not easy to dry because it spoils easily if there is no draft
it is dry when the hunting needles are easily separated from the stem
in the literature it says that young shoots can be eaten but I have never tried it oa I do not know what it looks like
these young shoots of that plant look like some beautiful Christmas trees
here I also came across a young cockroach of a ladybug waiting
to form and fly away
it’s pretty warm and like her popes on those needles
I picked up a little cardboard box so I could head home
because it's already 1 pm and the end of the harvest so I can start producing Fat
to greet you how warm I am to be able to go on though is +31degree of Celsius
I drove home but, but
I had to visit this magnificent quarry
is that dangerous but iman work shoes with protective cap, cap and two liters of water + good better and courage to risk to show you this on Hive
if you ever go there BE VERY CAREFUL IT DIDN'T FALL
And Good Shoes
it looks like some old civilization stacking those huge blocks and those high rocks like a two-story house
there is also some shadow of mine
here in these rock walls there is a small crevice and some small cave
and this is what it looks like
there is a hole in these rocky ruins, it's a bit dangerous to walk here because the upper part falls apart and something easily falls on your head
but it’s nice and worth the little risk
there I found a piece of stone that looks to me like the rest of some fossil petrified and is beautiful
I go on to take a walk in the exploration and it has beautiful nature and the sky as it adorns it
I also came across a stone of a nice brown color and it weighs quite a bit
it is a long way full of gravel and a little slippery at least stable but one should walk slowly without haste
this made me love to see the great Artichoke bush super arrangement for this ancient area
there are interesting rocks along the way
now I come to a very large excavation
simply that beauty of the stone that color and space how big it takes my breath away and I stand and watch these stacked blocks adorn that area
so some beautiful stones are found again, as if they are not from there, but there is that colorful combined color
a little look at the geological structure of the rock terrain
and there is that here too
this stone is sympathetic to me as it shines with crystals
and has beautiful patterns on the broken part and these shiny dots
it looks like this on the floor
a further walk around the quarry but this is a masterpiece
here it is also seen how the rock was made geologically
here is a lamp made of rubble crushed small stones
i think over three floors of these platforms is a terrace
I'm going to climb the ramp
hard but nice
how those stones stack those blocks like some civilization like I’m in a Skyrim or Morowind video game
side view from that side
I'm only halfway and it's very dangerous to walk on this, the floor slips under your shoes, it runs and the downhill just doesn't pull you down CAUTION ON THAT DANGEROUS only for you on Hive I'm doing this
here i n purpose and i'm happy i didn't almost slip twice
a little crack at the top and like a small cave
here's a little inside and obviously the water was dripping there
there are a lot of details
nice channel
these tiny pimples give a very beautiful work of nature
here is a stone standing on a natural terrace on the cave wall
I go on a little greeting... to you on Hive
I don't really have the will to go down that ramp because I'm sure I'll fall, slip and I'll have to go down the only way on all fours, so I'm looking for another way to go down
I go around and come across an end enclosed by high rocks
it is very high where I am and this is the bottom of the ramp and the view of this space
a little view of the walls along which it descends
here is a view of this cave which is at the top of the hill
there I found a plant that grows only on such terrains raw and rocky and I saw it only in quarries
finally it comes out I was sweating and a little bit of me and the fear was over for all this aki it paid off
finally on the way and one big tree that serves as shade but I don’t go under it, I go on
and has beautiful fruits
here under the tree I try to photograph the flies
it's faster
go to the upper platform in search of a large open cave
there is also wild Oregano smelling wonderful
there is little and immortelle
not too bush two
this can be seen and I will hear it later
here is the cave
it is big and deep
this is very dangerous to do because there is no fence to keep it from falling
stuck stalactites on the inner wall
view that spatial depth
and this above my head was good that something did not fall
this second cave is a little more dangerous because the center is falling apart
There are a lot of small ball-shaped fluffy flies but they are much faster and mate
has beautiful stalactites
there I found a feather from Pheasant
this is what that wicked cave ruin looks like
I don't go to this one because there are bushes and there may be some snakes, so I don't want to risk that much
and since there are vines in front of the entrance it means that their moisture is also dangerous
this is for now the end I will still visit this place someday for now I am going about
little detail of the stone blocks that adorn the road
it looks impressive
the top of the crane inside can be seen there
road to the way home
in that quarry in an hour i drank 2 liters of water in an hour now it's 2pm and pchus 32 degrees roughly in the car is hell and i need some energy oa it's time for Bounty
it melted but the coconut and chocolate were extremely tasty
this is what my t-shirt looks like in front
like this from behind
these are my stalactites that have formed on me while I am at the quarry
a lot of this artwork of sweat doing these stalactites on me on my mother
moving fat preparation action
I put the 2 kg. fat in a bowl and the heat is on low heat
when it melted into it I put chopped in the early plant Horsetail
and stir for 10 minutes
just mix
then removed from the heat and let over stand to stand
the next day heat to turn the fat into a liquid and then put in gauze
I'll put it all at once
wrap
and squeeze as hard as possible to squeeze everything out
this stays on the gauze
then the liquid
and then fill the jars
filled all jars
i take homemade brandy from the first two first liters which is not drinkable it is ethyl alcohol made from 15 different plants in 2015 and evaporated all those years is al has the strength for this
I pour a little into the saucer
I'll dip the foil
plug and cut off the excess protruding
then I put everything in the fridge to squeeze and can and ready to spread
This was a dangerous adventure after harvesting the Horsetail plant and then a dangerous adventure in search of a cave in the quarry
Budava with a few photos and a few words to show you the place to you on Hive , so I greet you warmly and wish you a pleasant rest of the day
THE END
A suggestion: when putting so many photos into a post, if you could reduce the size of the photo, the post would load in a timely fashion. It takes a very long time for a post like this to load. I've typed this comment and it's still not loaded....
Thanks for the suggestion I am extremely glad that you commented only iman small problem....
... I don't know how to reduce the size of the photo, how to solve it ... so I apologize for my ignorance in using technology ;))

Hi yes a real summer adventure ;))
Great content but please mind the spammy comments you're leaving all over the place, there's not much value in that and may get hivewatchers after you for spamming.
