Hello to all community readers! Today I will tell you a little about the life of bumblebees. Why about them? Because I once saw this insect in the middle of the road, took a picture and decided to learn a little more about it.

Bumblebees have a very rich life, but it is short. Meadow bumblebees live an average of twenty-eight days! Can you imagine how short life is?! And what does the insect manage to do these days? Why does she live so little? Bumblebees, like bees, feed on pollen from flowers, thereby helping flowers bloom properly. But here it is a bit strange, because bumblebees do not always dive into the flower itself in search of pollen, they pierce the hole under the stem and already eat the nectar.

Despite their short life, bumblebees are very frost-resistant insects, they build their nests in mosses and leave these nests to the younger generation. In science, bumblebee nests are called bombidarium. I don't know who came up with this name. And when bumblebees feel cold, they hang in one place and quickly move their wings, thus warming up. Their body temperature reaches forty degrees.

Also, when a bumblebee stings someone, it does not die, unlike a bee or a wasp. However, at the end of each summer, these insects die voluntarily. It is laid out in nature so that bumblebees live all summer, and around September death begins. Only fertilized females survive, which produce offspring in their nests, then they also die.

To be honest, I was in shock, because when I photographed this bumblebee, I thought it was just tired, turned over and couldn't take off. In fact, this insect fulfilled its mission for the summer and was dying. In some countries, there are entire farms with bumblebees, because these insects pollinate fields and plants better than other insects. And if you think about it, really, the mission of gels is huge! Because thanks to such a short life of insects, we observe how flowers bloom.

Привіт всім читачам спільноти! Сьогодні трохи розкажу вам про життя джмелів. Чому саме про них? Бо цю комаху я якось побачив посеред дороги, сфотографував та вирішив трохи більше дізнатися про неї.

У джмелів дуже насичене життя, проте воно коротке. Лугові джмелі у середньому живуть двадцять вісім днів! Ви уявляєте наскільки це коротке життя?! І що за ці дні комаха встигає зробити? Чому так мало вона живе? Джмелі, як і бджоли харчуються пилком з квітів, тим самим допомагаючи квітам як слід розквітнути. Але тут трохи дивно, бо джмелі не завжди поринають у саму квітку шукаючи пилок, вони пронизують отвір під стеблем та вже їдять нектар.

Не дивлячись на своє коротке життя, джмелі дуже морозостійкі комахи, вони будують свої гнезда у мхах та залишають ці гнізда молодому поколінню. У науці гнізда джмелів називаються бомбідарій. Хто вигадав таку назву, не знаю. А коли джмелі почувають холод, вони виснуть на одному місці та швидко ворушать крилами, таким чином розігріваються. Температура їх тіла сягає до сорока градусів.

Ще, коли джміль когось вжалить, він не погибає на відміну від бджоли чи оси. Проте наприкінці кожного літа ці комахи добровільно помирають. Це так закладено у природі, щоб джмелі проживають все літо, а приблизно у вересні починається гибель. Виживають лише заплідненні самки, які виводять у своїх гніздах потомство, потім теж вмирають.

Якщо цесно я був у шоці, бо коли фотографував цього джмеля, думав, він просто втомився, перевернувся та не може взлетіти. На справді ця комаха виконала свою місію за літо та помирала. У деяких країнах існують цілі ферми зі джмелями, бо ці комахи найкраще інших комах опилюють поля, рослини. А якщо так подумати, дійсно, місія джелів величезна! Бо завдяки такому короткому життю комах ми спостерігаємо як цвітуть квіти.
