I think a bit of a polar vortex did hit Japan a few years ago, but it wasn't nearly as bad as what you guys have been getting in north america the past few years. Unfortunately these seem to be a result of climate change. It is causing the jet stream to weaken which is what is allowing the cold temperature to escape the arctic once or twice every winter. I hope this problem doesn't get worse! Stay warm!

Thank you! As you said, global warming issues are affecting nature like this, unfortunately. We might experience more extreme hot or cold weather like this in the future, I guess. I hope the animals in nature stay safe... I didn’t know that the polar vortex had also affected Japan before.
