Hi there,
During summer, I drove to the North of the district. The plan was to meet a model I already worked with during daylight a couple of weeks before and do a first lightpainting session together.
She's local and she knows every cool spots in the woods here. The structure we used is an aqueduct which is part of the big water network used for the Canal from Nantes to Brest. This canal is a famous construction in Brittany.
At first, I made a quick lighting test, as I often do :
As I was happy about it I made several portraits in a row, trying to combine more and more elements in the making. Here's one of the first of the serie :
It's too bad the session brutally ended at 1 am when a violent thunderstorm suddently hit us : the rain was really strong so we had to retreat to dryness under an arch of the aqueduct. I quickly packed my gear and Laura got cold.

Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
