As anyone who follows me on here knows that I have had a break in North Wales, I was staying in a small town called Beaumaris on the Menai straight, it is a beautiful little town, but does get rather busy at times.
What I love about Beaumaris is the castle, a castle that was never finished, although it is very large in size, looking at it from the road is quite misleading as it looks small, but on the inside, it's big, it's a bit like Dr Who's tardis lol.
I visited the castle twice while I was there, the first time it was raining really fast, although it was only a 5-10 min walk from where I was staying, you will see some of the pictures are a mix of sunny and rain. All shot using my mobile phone, either my samsung S21 or my iPhone XR, which I use on my DJI OM6 gimbal as I get more options on the iphone compared to the samsung.
I just love the entrance to the castle, I think it's because it still has a motte, most castles I've visited (and you know I love a castle) don't seem to have a motte intact, so it's great to actually see one.
(Not the best shot above)
As you can see once you get inside the castle, it's vast, there's little rooms and long corridors throughout the walls, it was great getting lost around there, I can only imagine what it would have looked like if they did finish building the castle.
I really do need to go back to Beaumaris for a proper photography holiday, just myself so no one gets bored of me setting shots up etc lol.
I do have a few more pictures to post when I get the chance, but this is about the end of the Wales trip for now.
I really hope you've enjoyed these shots, even though they were mobile shots,
Thanks for reading,
All the best :-0
beautiful view👍♥️
We’re going to the same area next month for a few days. We might hop over to Anglesey but I could happily spend a month there. I really could, as it’s so beautiful. Especially the castle we went not all that long ago but it was a bit of a fleeting visit at the time.
Mobile shots can be equally astonishing and you did justice to the photos. The castle is indeed impressive!
