After the disasterous heartbreaking news of losing my dog last week, my holiday was the last thing I thought of, booked over a year ago I nearly didn't come, however both family and friends have told me that I should go as it wouldn't change anything even if I did stay at home.
So I took their advice and I am staying on the beautiful island of Angelesey, part on North Wales in the UK.
The weather in the good old British way hasn't been the best, although last night, we had a little bit of sun, so we decided to head up to the lighthouse. Penmon point is about 5 miles from where we are staying in Beaumaris, we were sat on the harbour and decided to make the drive, so it didm't take us long to get there.
What did surprise me, even at 8.00pm, there was an old lady with a stick taking payments to get to the light house, £3.50 fee, although it was worth it, but surprising all the same.
When we got there, there were a few people around, as well as camper vans, as I was looking for compositions, I noticed a photographer grabbing a few shots from the top of some rocks, I waited until he buggered of and found a route up there, thankfully they weren't too slippy.
This was my first visit to Penmon lighthouse, around the island there are quire a few light houses, not forgetting south stack, which is on my list although this will be for a future visit, I do love it down here though, it's like a different world.
It has helped me take my mind off my poor little dog, although he is prominent in my thoughts almost all the time.
Thanks for reading my blog.
All the best :-)
