Hello,
How are you all doing?
I am back in action after a sleepy few weeks behind me due to watching NBA games during the night. I realized that, we really need to sleep. I was always saying that sleeping is waste of time, but at the end I figured out that if that being the case or not, we need to sleep. I was really not in my best condition, physically and mentally when I was sleeping only about 3 hours every other night. It is interesting how big of an impact sleeping have on us as humans. Well things are getting sorted, and lesson learned for next season, that I will need to do something different when Mavs will compete in playoffs again.
And now, going from basketball to my other passion, which is travelling and photography. I decided to share a beautiful collection of photos from my South American travel which was a couple of years ago. I would say, that one was the most photogenic, after Iceland. South America is somehow quite remote from Europe and it is quite different culture and for our type of travel it takes a lot of planning and adjustments. My wish is, to return there and maybe visit Chile and Brazil as well as I know these destinations are hiding a lot and must be a true gem for travelling.
Well, we will see how everything will turn out in the future and when (if) I will visit that beautiful and exotic continent again.
Until than, lets enjoy the photos!
Good to know you are back to your usual sleeping routine. I know what it feels like to sleep only 3 hours per night, I experienced this many times because of my insomnia. It´s much better now but after that horrible experience, I now never forget to be grateful for a full night sleep as I don´t take it for granted anymore :)
I´m sorry that Dallas didn´t make it to the finals but on the other hand, that would mean another series of sleepless nights for you so let´s take it as a good thing :D
Yes, I remember that you wrote something about your sleeping issues some time ago. That is so bad! I am not sleeping well myself, either. Non NBA related, especially during hot summer days.
And like you said, everything is good for something ;)
I think it actually was the super hot Mexican nights what triggered my insomnia... Enjoy your weekend and sleep well my friend ;)
Hello dear friend @crazy-andy good afternoon
What you say is very true, it is very necessary to be at 100% rest and sleep well, it makes one be able to use all the senses well.
Very good choice, Brazil and Chile have beautiful places to discover, especially the southern part of Chile
What beautiful photographs you share in this opportunity, all very attractive
I take this opportunity to wish you a splendid afternoon
Thank you for sharing your thoughts once again. And you never know if our paths might cross someday at some place...
That would be great if we could meet in some of your visits to my country Argentina dear friend @crazy-andy
enjoy the weekend
I've always been a fan of your photos, I think they are the kind of photos that you can find perfectly in Nat Geo or a reputable landscape magazine. exactly where were they? I've seen those landscapes on some Nat Geo show, looks like Argentina.
Sleep is important even though these playoffs have been good, a few days ago I jumped for joy after my Celtics made it to the finals after 12 years. The Mavs augurs well future, maybe the Warriors' veteran status was a key factor for them to win the series, also Luka is pretty young, kind of like Tatum last season. Likewise I think next season is finally his turn.
Thank you for leaving such a nice comment! Really appreciate it!
Regarding Nat Geo magazine, I am honoured you mentioned it, but I will continue to share my work with you guys here on Hive. Nothing professional, just for fun and joy. And you have good eye. Many photos from this post are indeed from Argentina.
Well, Celtics won the first one, so congratulations! I am sure they can go 2-0 in a couple of days. I said they will win first game too. Hope they win the series as GS team is not very simpatic to me. So go Celtics!
i always say that i am born in the wrong time zone :) but i do need to get back to at least waking up before noon.
3 hours of sleep for a night will get bad after a week or two. But they do say that Tesla slept only few hours at night (but he did take short power naps through a day) :D
photos are great. from the ice to the desert :)
I haven't sleep past 7 am for last 10 years probably... Maybe I slept once in my life till noon. Haha, how different we are. My wife could easily go past 10 am day after day...
At least I am compared to Tesla in some way ;)
Thanks for the compliment about my photos!
Have a great one...
i was always a night person, and all that craziness with restrictions we had last 2 years i shifted working nights (as the office is in the house and we were trying to not have crowd in the office). So born in wrong time zone :)
I've been in that sleeping habit for several months, and it was so exhausting. I had to drink brewed coffee 3 to 5 times a day and had headaches almost every day. By the time I was 'free', as early as 7 PM, I'm sleepy already. As we grow older, our body demands a good amount of sleep.
Anyway, your collection is a stunner. My fave is the 3rd to the last photo - the color of the mountain is unique. 🤩
What? For months? No way, I was in that tempo for couple of weeks and I thought nothing good will follow... I can also see at myself that getting older, you really need more sleep. I was working night shifts when I was younger, but now I don't see how I could survive that :)
Thanks for your input! Salta in Argentina is a really beautiful place, special as you say...
Hi, I'm glad you're getting better 🙂 I was also thinking exactly the same as you about sleep and just now I realize that we do need to rest (sleep) 😅. As for your photos it seems to me that you visited Argentina and I think that among those photos is the province of Jujuy and the perito moreno glacier, right? A beauty of landscapes, if you come back to these lands would be nice a meeting. Be well, take care @crazy-andy 😊
Well, we learn something everyday... I learned that sleep/rest is really important on the actual case...
I was in Argentina, that is correct! Tha land of football ;)
But not only foorball, it has amazing natural beauties. You also guessed the destinations, but I was in Chile and small part of Bolivia as well. Beautiful travel. Hope I will be able to visit again and possibly meet you...
Thanks @qurator team!
Such a beautiful captures.
Yes, we do need to sleep, I so know… sometimes it just doesn’t work. Great to hear you are catching up 😎😁
Thank you, all good now!
But I will still skip NBA Finals and rather get some good night sleep ;)
Hahaha sometimes better anyway hahaha lol 😂 🤣
Enjoy your Friday… almost weekend!
If you have the opportunity to visit Venezuela, you will love it, for now it is rebuilding its economy and you can travel all over the country at very cheap prices, besides all the beauties that you can find here from paradisiacal beaches to terrifyingly beautiful jungles.
I would say, it is a very interesting country. Maybe I will visit it one day, you never know. Would love to visit every country on Earth, but we all know that is not possible, so I am blessed with what I had witness so far!
Have a great one!
The photos are very classy, so perfect to see the scenery from this nature.
Thanks, appreciate you stopping by!
🤗🤗
Looks like a great journey!
These glaciers look awesome. I would like to witness them too, one day.. :)
Glacier is really stunning. Can't imagine it if you don't actually visit in person...
I could stand here all day enjoying this beauty. Thanks for sharing dear.
You are welcome!
Oh wow!! Very beautiful nature
Indeed!

What a beautiful collection, @crazy-andy. They are all nice landscapes but the one I point out to you I particularly loved. The reddish creastas of the mountains are breathtaking.
Nice photos and nice places, now I'm sitting and remembering Argentina again.
Oh, I've been to that place too! These colorful mountains just amazed me then. Want to find photos of them in the near future :) But I also was there in rather gloomy cloudy weather, if I remember correctly.
We need to sleep a normal amount of hours, that's right. I can't last long if I get so little sleep like you did - how did you even survive? :)
Thanks!
