Yesterday, I went with my husband and a group of friends for a walk in El Calvario Park, or as it is known nowadays, Ezequiel Zamora Park.
I had never been to the park before, at least that I can remember. Maybe when I was a child. The park is located on El Calvario hill in the center of the city, and since colonial times, it has been linked to the history of Caracas. But today, I won't tell you about it. I will surely prepare an extensive post during the week telling about the park. What I want to share today are the amazing views of downtown Caracas and the west part of the city that you can see from this hill.
Perhaps the most emblematic of these views is precisely the one that looks directly at the downtown of the city. In which the iconic Simon Bolivar Center stands out with the two towers. Those are known as Towers of Silence (Las Torres del Silencio) and were built in the 50s.
The other view that I found impressive is the one from one of the most populous parishes in the west of the city, known as 23 de Enero. The view from El Calvario hill towards 23 de Enero reaches the area known as Monte Piedad.
It was a great walking tour yesterday, and it was nice to capture these postcards of the city.

You have captured some beautiful @coquicoin postcards, I tell you that I lived in the capital for two years, but never visited this area, it is pending what I have to do.
I have lived here almost all my life, and I had never climbed the stairs of El Calvario to the park before. It's worth it, both the views and visiting the park.
