A short walk to St. Anne's Lake in early winter.

St. Anne's Lake is the only volcanic lake in Romania,and it is inactive.St. Anne's Lake is located at an altitude of 946 m, and has a depth of 7 m, the lake fills the waters only teeth, having no springs or rivers.

Before reaching the lake there is a short 15-20 minute walk, but you have the option to go by car.

But better to walk and enjoy the fresh air and the wonderful landscape.

You can deviate from the main road and walk through the forest, but it is not recommended, because you can meet the bear and I don't think you would want that.

On the edge of the lake there is a small shop where you can find different foods and drinks, so you won't be able to starve in case you forget to take some food and drink with you.

They have drinks for every season, especially in this cold weather, they caught us well their hot teas,

and you have there a small pontoon with a table where you can enjoy your hot drink with friends.

Next to the lake is a Roman Catholic chapel dedicated to Saint Anne,I recommend you visit it.

It is a perfect location to go with your girlfriend or have a photo shoot

It's easy to find a place to take pictures.

This area is perfect if you want a place to find your inner peace and meditate, except when the bears appear and you have to retreat.

The legend,
"Two young men were to get married. The girl, named Ana, who was to become a wife, did not want this because her parents forced her to marry only to get hold of the young man's fortune, which was quite rough in the groom's. On the evening of the wedding, the bride ran away and threw herself into this lake, her lifeless body not being found even today. That's why the lake is named after that girl. Every year, on the feast day of St. Anne, the lake is consecrated by the metropolis."
