Macro: Theretra oldenlandiae "Larva of the moth"

8.jpg

I initially thought the larva belonged to a caterpillar that can cause allergies or itching when it comes into contact with human skin, but I was mistaken, and after reading the caterpillar article, I quickly realized that the small animal is the larva of a moth with the scientific name Sphingidae - source WikiPedia.

Then I found out more about the black caterpillar or larva that I found, it has a scientific name Theretra oldenlandiae - source which is the larva of the moth Theretra lycetus - source and belongs to the type of caterpillar that is harmless to us. This caterpillar breeds in forest areas or land that has green plants and grass around it, which I found has a size of about 5mm with a length of 2cm with a characteristic black body with an orange and yellow circle pattern on the side of the caterpillar's body and tip of the tail is like a black vertical upright antenna.
