The Sun Everywhere, the Big Sun and the Small One

in Photography Lovers3 years ago (edited)

One of my worries about the city where I live is that I can't see the sunrise and sunset. When you live in a big city, in a big neighborhood, it is normal for your house to be surrounded by many other houses, smaller or taller. If the city is on the plain then you lose any chance to see the horizon, so you lose any chance to see the sunrise and sunset.

Of course, there are a few exceptions ... to live right on the outskirts of the city or in a tall building. I do not fall into these exceptions!

That's how I started posting from the last edition of the contest. Then I caught a sunset in the park next to the house, it was still a sunset! A sunset that had no chance in front of the sunsets from the sea, especially from tropical areas. That's all I could do.

Today I will look for the sun in the same park. I will be with a small, very small sun to look for a big, biggest sun!

I won't write much about the sun. It may or may not be in the added images. Because the sun is not only in the grand sunsets when it covers half the sky. The sun, in fact, is in every photo we look at. As #proofofbrain is in every post of ours, even if we don't talk or think about the brain. It is there, just as the sun is up there, whether we see it or not.

The sun everywhere!

Today will be a walk in the park. A walk on a beautiful and hectic spring day, a spring that begins to resemble summer.

Towards the end of the morning, a not-so-good time to keep an eye on the sun. The camera doesn't feel too good either and that's why I tried to see the sun behind the leaves, behind the clouds, pouring on the cobblestones, trees, and buildings.

I say for the first time when I like a photo taken by me. Photo above! Because it reminds me of a (repeated) sequence from a movie I love, "La Grande Bellezza", I wrote about this movie some time ago, if you are curious you can read here: A true beauty - The Great Beauty!

In this brilliant film, when the main character, Jepp, remembered parts of his youth, so they were images of the past, this transition from the present to the past was always announced by the same sequence: Jepp was lying on his back in bed with his eyes on the ceiling, and the ceiling turns to the blue sea.

In the photo above, it seems to me that the sky is the ceiling that looks like a sea!

I hope I explained well why the photos in this post will be sunny, but often the sun will not be seen. I tried a more direct approach to the sun and it, being close to noon and its maximum power, appears as a bright white spot, diffuse and without contour.

Now, when I put these photos, I think I see a man's head, old and upset, in front of the sun! I have to enlarge the image to clarify.

Yes, it seems to me that I see an old man with a beard and abundant hair on his head. You need to move away from the photo to see better. I hope I didn't upset someone, very strongly, with my photos!

In order to detach me from the image above and to calm me down a bit, I return to a statement from the beginning. That this post wants to document, in fact, a walk in the park next to the house, a walk meant to meet me with two suns, the big one earlier and the small one and extremely important for me, my child's baby!

Ilinca, the one who takes me out to the park every day.

Age: a year and a half. Walking: quite insecure but determined and with few falls. Wishes: many! This is Ilinca. Ilinca is in love with the park and who already had the first attempt to run away from home when she caught the open gate. He wanted to run to the park, to the children's playground.

This time I caught her on time. but it remained my duty to take her daily, if it did not rain, to the park. And in the park, all the roads lead to the playground. I try, most of the time, to avoid those places where there are children older than her but she always finds a way to get where she likes.

Ilinca is, as her father says when he wants to apologize for any mischief she did, a small child! I took some photos with a building in the background, to see how small it is.

Ilinca is especially attracted to the playground, the kiosk where we buy cornflakes, and other places where children gather. I try to take her more to the green and beautiful parts of the park. Even if she doesn't pay attention to them, now I'm sure that in her little brain these images are imprinted with the chestnuts that have blossomed. Images that will use them later, images that will make her love nature.

The clouds gathered imperceptibly and began to attack the midday sun. I had expected this, the forecast had announced sporadic rains on this day.

Luckily I left on time! Because the rain came very quickly, a real summer rain in the middle of spring. A warning that summer will come sooner.

It was heavy and noisy rain. It was a rain that I liked, especially since I managed to take the child home before she started. It was a special rain because it was raining with the sun in the sky. Quite rarely have I seen anything like it.

This will probably be atypical participation for this contest but I am sure @uwelang will appreciate the diversity. All I wanted to show is that the sun is everywhere. Both on the leaves of the trees, on the buildings, on the children, the shadow left by them is proof. I had a great chance to show that the sun is there, visible, even when it's raining. If you have read it so far, I hope you liked it.

Now it's time to tell you, I mean not me ... here Ilinca will help me!

Not much for the city life myself. If I could right now I'd be out on acers of land living it up and off of it. lol little kids running always makes me laugh my nephew looks the same way hahaha

Anyways hope you have a great day and always enjoy a good sun rise.

Thank you very much! City life is getting harder and harder, and technology now helps you work from anywhere. However, it is difficult to make this move to another place to live.
The grandchildren are nice ... hard to run after them but worth the effort.

When it all comes down to it all that really matters is that family is near by :)

Yes, absolutely correct!

Such an interesting perspective! And I loved the angle of both your photos and the words. I'm sure your daily outing is special with your little ray of sunshine waddling along
