Travelling to Lofoten

Hello to all!

I will show you my travel by airplane and car from Italy to Lofoten island, in Norway.
We started in the afternoon and we arrived before sunrise of the next day.

Here above Oslo, the capital of Norway.
A huge thunderstorm above the sea and the town, with special dramatic effect of light.

We took another airplane from Oslo to Narvik, during the night.
Aurore borealis forecast gave an alert for a very high solar wind intensity! A G4 solar storm, but I can't see so much over the clouds, only a weak green filament: the day after I discovered solar storm impacted not on Lofoten but on the other side of planet (New Zeland).

Evening was approching.

Here roads around Narvik.
Snowy roads and light created a special effect, like an abstract and hypnotic
painting.

We rented a car and we started from Harstad airport (near Narvik) to Lofoten: 142 km on snowy road, at night. We were a bit tired...

... and it was not easy to drive in such condition, under a moon disappearing and appearing, with white isolated houses like ghosts, light reflected by the calm water of ocean: landscape was so suggestive that we were all very exciting and full of energy!

We crossed some small villages.

Crossing some tunnels, some of them under the sea level (in the following pics you can see the entrance of a tunnel, it seemed like a tent lost inside mountain)!

Here a little harbour, with first light of aurora coming in background. Lanscape was very clean and light very deep and dense. I love the contrast between the white boats and the blue of the sky!

Finally, under a snowstorm, and after meeting an huge elk who crossed slowly our path, we arrived to the little and nice house we rented:

Sunrise is coming. Sky turned from dark blue to an enchanting violet...

I was tired, but I suddenly embraced my camera, going to take pictures around in this magic new ambient, specially to clouds and to a small cemetery in front of the sea...

Light turned from violet to red...

And clouds covered sunset lights... It turned again to snow... Weather here is changing very fast!

Finally I went to sleep (4:30 am), dreaming the next new sunny day rich of experience and life!
