Snow in december at Montecuccolo castle

I love snowfall before Christmas: snow makes the atmosphere before festivity very magic!

Last days we have luck! It snowed for three days in the city where I live (Pavullo nel Frignano - north Italy). I live near mountains, at 700 meters high, and a atmospheric disturbance from west, together with low temperature, has created this white magnificence from the sky!

This was my car:

I'm back from Bangladesh, and I have preferred to stay at home, enjoying the snowfall from window, without making pictures, but today I have taken my camera, and I have gone in a castle some kilometers from my home, because of the light at sunset was very clear and warm.

Here valleys, hills and mountains covered by snow:

I like this small group of houses: landscape reminds me Tuscany region:

The last memory of autumn, and, over me, Montecuccolo castle:

I have approached castle together an amazing warm light, so beautiful that I have no edited the following pictures:

Montecuccolo is an ancient village: a castle at the center, some old houses, and wall and door around them, built centuries ago to defend village in middle age:

A door towards the mountainous skyline. Clouds around summits was like a scarf:

Cimone mount, the highest of this region:

Snow on roofs:

Last light from the sun:

Twilight is coming. It's time to go back to home.

This reminds me when I went in the mountains as kid

so much snow on the car! ready for xmas

Yes! Ready! Today I have removed all the snow from the car... An hard work!

This is my favorite winter sight but it doesn't snow where we live and we have to travel 20 hours to see it.

The scenes are beyond beautiful. I love the way the gleaming white of the snow contrasts with the vibrant colors of the trees and vegetation. Though I do hope you cope with the cold. Thanks for the pictures and have a nice day.

Thank you! I live with 15 degree at home, I don't feel the cold, no more... And I have also godo clothes!
