It's raining outside in the morning. This means that it's damp outside and not at all summery. --15 C is more suitable for spring or autumn. What remains to be done... to be engaged in revision of photo archives and posting. Such weather.
We are leaving in August 2020. Yes, this is the year when we were all declared a pandemic. They just took it and announced it. But let's not talk about sad things. Our walk will be without masks and gloves and other nonsense.
There is an old building in Oranienbaum. It used to be a manor house with a view of the Gulf of Finland. Now a scientific institute is located here. But that doesn't make it any easier for the building itself. However, for a photographer, shapes and textures matter. Old buildings, especially ruins, are my favorite filming locations.
The day was overcast. But there are no sharp shadows, which sometimes interfere with understanding volumes and textures. The main thing is that there is light.
Today I'm playing with colors and shadows in post-processing again. The rain outside the window is to blame for this.
I tinted the photos a bit to add more variety.
The last frame is not funny at all. So I'm going to show you another building. He has a different fate and is being restored.
Greetings from the pandemic. A symbol of sad times. And only the old oaks calmly look at our bustle...
Take care of yourself and loved ones.
See you soon.
