All I can remember

2021 is a memorable year for me. I turned 30 years old, I bought my own motorcycle that I can use to visit my parents every week this year, I committed to making a consistent blog and hopefully meaningful and deep content in the future, I realized that I should grind hard every day of my life because I am a late bloomer and most of all God send someone to introduced hive blogging to me

Where it started

I made some YouTube channels in early 2021 and I uploaded anime videos that are copyrighted hoping I can build subscriber count and make a community out of it. The channel grow fast but all of the hard work I put into it was wasted because the copyright owners of the video I uploaded sent my channel copyright strikes and my channels were terminated. I was frustrated and I don't know where to look for resources to pay my bills and to buy food.

One day my friend chat me that he will invest in an NFT play-to-earn game called Axie Infinity. In short, I end up looking for a scholarship. That time you can earn a decent amount of income even though you are just a scholarship account. Unfortunately, there are many applicants and it is hard for me to find a manager in Axie. So what I did is to find another play-to-earn game and I found Splinterlands which is in the hive network. To make the story short, I looked for a manager in the community that can help me and I found one. He helped me to start earning in the game and bought me a team also that I can play in Axie infinity and introduced blogging in hive to me.

With all the helped he gave me, I am able to find resources that I can use until now. I am also thankful to some of the people in the Splinterlands community that is very kind to me, I forgot their names but they delegated some cards into my account that I used to earn more in the game. Sad to say I am not a player of Splinterlands anymore. I've been accepted also on the YGG scholarship but after one month I have been removed.

Where it ends

I sold my Splinterlands assets and stopped blogging. The money I got from sold assets and hive earnings from blogging, I invested in Axie thinking it has given me more yield than the other two. Sadly the mode of earnings in Axie goes down and I lost some of my investment in it. Luckily I have saved a portion of my earnings because I made a goal that in December I will buy a motorcycle. So not only the earnings from Axie contribute to buying the motorcycle but also the earnings from blogging and Splinterlands.

I realized that blogging is more sustainable and meaningful than playing play-to-earn games. I will make play-to-earn games a side hustle and focus more on blogging and making videos where I can express myself. Making use of my time in a more meaningful way while earning, I can rest at night and tell myself "I achieved something awesome today".
