Hello photography colleague!!! Hope it a lovely weekend although. Here With me today,I want to share some pictures with you guys about the local traditional craft man in my area which is skillful in crafting of talking drum, repairing of it and selling of all this traditional cultural costumes. I am talented in the beating of talking drum, which I usually drum it in church and some ceremonies such as wedding ceremonies, jumps, and others celebration that calls for instructmental playing.

Due to the frequent use of this my talking drum it got tear up.

I will like to let you have some knowledge about this talk drum it self.

The talking drum is mostly use in Nigeria by the youruba's . Majorly it mostly use in the traditional festivals. Such as egungun festival, osun festivals and all kinds of festivals. Why it is called talking drum is that, it is use to communicate words. Those expert that do play it are called (AYAN). It have two face sides which you can beat any of the side, it has a wooden connection that serve as the major man of it which connect the two sides together been called (ODO ILU). And also have so wire works which is call the (OSAN) it serve as the turning center of it and also brings out the sound.
