I wouldn't recommend it... but they say if you get a mature Red Fly Agaric and double boil it that you can eat it without worry of the toxins. They also say the ones that are young like in the first photos Andy took that they have the most toxin. These are the kinds of mushrooms the Vikings supposedly drank before battle to become berserkers. So.... i would go with the Porcinis. ๐คฃ
You are right. During the war, many Fly Agaric ended up in the cooking pots. But I would not eat them, and certainly would not make a recommendation here to do so ;-) ;-)
