Hi guys! 😊 This is my first post in the community and my entry for the Photo Quest competition. Two days ago, in my introduction post to Hive, I talked about how much I love street photography. I started four years ago taking pictures with my cell phone. I will recycle those photos this week, so you can see what can we do with limited technical equipment.
Today I want to share with you a photographic series, a personal claim to the authorities of my country, demanding an Animal Protection Law. Finally, in November 2021, the law was approved, but animal rights activists in Cuba regularly reports noncompliance.
Hola, chicos! 😊 Esta es mi primera publicación en la comunidad y mi participación en el concurso de Photo Quest. Hace dos días, en mi post de presentación a Hive hablé sobre lo mucho que me gusta la fotografía callejera. Empecé a practicarla hace aproximadamente 4 años, tomando fotos con la cámara de mi móvil a todo lo que llamaba mi atención. En estos días haré un reciclaje de aquellas fotografías para que vean lo que se puede lograr, a veces con pocos recursos técnicos.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una serie fotográfica que hice como reclamo personal a las autoridades de mi país, para la aprobación de una Ley de Protección Animal. Finalmente, en noviembre de 2021, la ley fue aprobada, aunque activistas por los derechos de los animales en Cuba denuncian cada cierto tiempo su incumplimiento.

A final thought:
As human beings, we have the responsibility to protect the natural ecosystem around us. That includes every living organism and its habitat. Sometimes governments do nothing to guarantee resources for these pursuits. We can promote alternatives or small actions from our communities. It can make a difference.
For dignified human and animal lives, please, open the cage.

Nosotros, como seres humanos, tenemos la responsabilidad de proteger el ecosistema natural que nos rodea. Eso incluye a todo ser vivo y su hábitat. A veces los gobiernos hacen poco o nada por garantizar recursos para estas tareas. Desde nuestras comunidades podemos impulsar alternativas o pequeñas acciones, que en conjunto pueden hacer la diferencia. Por vidas humanas y animales dignas, por favor, abre la jaula.

Que hermoso trabajo nos compartiste amiga. Sin duda alguna estos seres tan indefensos necesitan de cada vez más personas que luchen por defender su existencia. He tenido la oportunidad de adoptar perros y me parece una labor maravillosa, es una responsabilidad y un compromiso, que muchos podemos asumir. Vale la reflexión de ser multiplicadores, y defensores de los animales, en la búsqueda de mejores garantías de vida para ellos. Saludos amiga @amyms

Me alegra que te haya gustado el post. Yo también adopté un gato, se siente una satisfacción inmensa cuando se saca a un animalito de la calle para darle un hogar.

Los animales hay que cuidarlos. Acá en Argentina existen muchos hogares de transito para los perros de la calle, mientras consiguen una familia que los adopte y les de cariño. Tus fotos excelente 👏👏
Tienes toda la razón, Luisa. Aquí hay asociaciones independientes de animalistas que se dedican a rescatar animales callejeros y darles en adopción responsable.

Me encantaron tus fotos, transmiten emociones y pensamientos. Me entristece seguir viendo aves enjauladas 😥 La de los tres perritos es tan encantadora y divertida, realmente puedes sentir que hay una hermandad entre ellos.
