A Gloomy Monday

in Photography Lovers2 years ago

I thought, the weather today will be livelier unlike the previous days, but I was wrong since the sun doesn't come out fully at this moment as the sky is covered with grey clouds that made it gloomy.

Anyway, it's my first time posting in this community and I want to share with you the photos I took while I was having a walk in our garden. I just finished doing chores at home and as my way of relaxing, I visited our mini garden and took some photos of our plants that me and my mom love to take care of.

Unfortunately, most of our plants aren't blooming with flowers yet, but it doesn't mean that they don't look mesmerizing.

This plant is called Cordyline Fruticosa or also known as Ti plant. I think this plant isn't fully grown up yet since the supposed purplish-red color of the leaves isn't the dominating color unlike what the grown-up Ti plants have, like this one:

Another plant I took a photo of is this Oxalis triangularis or also known as False shamrock. However, here in our place, we call it butterfly plant as the leaves look like butterfly's wings.

As far as I know, this plant can bear flowers but what we have here doesn't have one yet. But before, it has pink flowers that are very pleasing to everyone's eyes, maybe coz they're too cute and pretty at the same time.

This plant was given by my aunt as a birthday gift for my mom last year. Gladly, we've already grown lots of it in which some were given to our relatives.

Another plant that was given by my aunt as a birthday gift to my mom is this plant which is known as Polyscias Fruticosa. I even asked my aunt about the name of it since I'm not familiar with this plant before, though it looks like parsley. So far, since last year it doesn't bear flowers so I think this variety will never have one.

Furthermore, my aunt told us that this plant is mildly toxic and should be kept away from kids and pets. When ingested, it can possibly cause intestinal discomfort to anyone. And, the leaves contain toxic sap that may cause skin irritation so better not to touch and squeeze the leaves of this plant.

I also took other photos of the plants here but I wasn't familiar with their names and properties, all I know is that they're all mesmerizing to look at and they add lively colors to our surroundings whatever the weather is, just like now that it's gloomy.

The false shamrock looks like a butterfly to me and that makes it so beautiful! My aunt also have that and its flower is color purple and tiny.

I agree. It really looks like a butterfly so even without flowers, it's still beautiful. 🦋

Love your shots here, sis!

Thank you po, sis! 😊

Welcome, sis :)

Ang ganda nung Ti plant. Ang kintab ng dahon tingnan.

Parang plastic nga po eh, pero totoong plant pala. 😅

Oo nga lalo na yung grown up niya. Ang ganda eh.

You have pretty plants, tita 😍

Thank you for appreciating them! 💗

You're welcome, tita 🤗
