Hi Photography’s Lovers!

I took these photos when I went to a farm in the countryside of my city that has an annatto plantation.

Annatto (here we call Urucum) is a fruit well known for its seeds produce a red paint that is a natural colorant, even widely used by the indigenous peoples of Brazil for their body paintings.

As it comes from a tree with a tropical climate, the annatto is widely used in Latin American cuisine. And in addition to being widely used in the cosmetics industry by account of its ink, the annatto brings numerous benefits to health, such as:

  • Improves vision
  • Fights aging
  • And anticancer
  • Helps make bones stronger
  • Prevents birth defects
  • Healing effect
  • It's anti-inflammatory
  • Improves digestion
  • Helps prevent heart attacks
  • Relieves stomach pains

Did you know about annatto? I hope you like it!
