I took some of these pictures 11 years ago...

It's crazy how time flies. I used to love taking pictures. I always had a camera with me. All the time.

I guess as time passes and we grow up, we end up allocating time for so many things that some of the things we used to love doing simply vanish. I am a bit sad about that actually. I wish I had more time to just spend time taking pictures. Even when going on holidays, now it seems like I don't stop and contemplate places and take a shot of it. I just simply don't seem to have those minutes to spare.

Yesterday I was looking at some of my favorite pictures. I got shocked when I saw that some of them I actually took 11 years ago (WOW). I don't remember which camera, I think the regular ultra compact one.

This one is the picture I am most proud of. Toronto, Canada - 2010.

There is so much I like about this picture. The technology was not as advanced back then as with today's cameras. However, I still think I captured movement fairly good. To me, it brings me lots of memories but it also brings memories to local people who have seen it. It could be a painting.

My next favorite picture is from the time I was living in Copenhagen. I think this picture is about 3 years old - or a bit more. I believe I took it with an iPhone 11. I mean, Copenhagen is like the most frameable place in the world. The colors of the scene, the sky, the reflection on the water... just really makes me melancholic.

Another picture I love a lot was also taken about the same time as the previous one, but this time in Malmö, Sweden. Normally, when I take pictures, I also try to capture how I feel. Do you happen to do this often? In Sweden back then I was feeling a bit hopeless, empty and alone. The weather did help me a lot create this scenario tho. This picture makes me reflect on the times that I am pushing (flying like a bird) towards my goals that can sometimes look unachievable - just like the building is reflecting with the amount of floors that are somewhat constantly turning or shifting X amount of degrees.

The next one is very old as well, I took it in Aalborg, Denmark. The quality is really not that good. I feel like my camera here was even worse that the one I had 5 years prior to taking this picture. However, it is still one of my favorite pictures. It makes me think about everything that is out there that we don't know about. The unknown, I could say. So much time and space to discover.

At some point, about 9 years ago, I was obsessed with macro lenses. I used to buy the portable ones and take pictures of small creatures. Like this beatiful ladybug that stepped on top of my hand. It made me feel alive.

Those are a couple of my favorite pictures so far. I will keep finding others that I used to make with different cameras. What are your favorite pictures?
