Hello, photography lovers! Today I bring you chapter 2 with several photographic exercises that I did on the site 52frames during 2020, my first year there. I hope you find them interesting!

Week 8, 2020: Pairs / Parejas
From this session I have gotten quite good results, I have published many photos of these friends of mine here. The exercise was about taking photos of two related objects, I chose this couple of young surfers. What a good pair!

De esta sesión he sacado bastantes buenos resultados, muchas fotos de estos amigos míos las he publicado aquí. El ejercicio trataba de hacer fotos a dos objetos relacionados, yo escogí esta pareja de jóvenes surfistas. Que buen par!

Week 9, 2020: Extreme contrast / Contraste extremo
It turns out that I have a quite peculiar fidget spinner, which I like in addition to its dizzying rotation, and the cubic and at the same time soft shape of its edges. For the extreme contrast, I went from the almost burnt shine of its polished surface to the rough and dark of the fabric that serves as its base.

Resulta que tengo un fidget spinner bastante peculiar, que me gusta además de por su vertiginoso rotar, de la forma cúbica y lo suave de sus aristas. Para el contraste extremo, fui del brillo casi quemado de su pulida superficie hacia lo rugoso y oscuro de la tela que le sirve de base.

Week 10, 2020: Abandoned / Abandonado
With my beloved model Yenli, we went to the abandoned swimming pool of a well-known abandoned apartment block in my area. The contrast of her dress with the decadent blue of the pool was what suggested this shot to me.

Con mi querida modelo Yenli, fuimos a la piscina abandonada de un conocido bloque de apartamentos abandonado de mi zona. El contraste de su vestido con el azul en decadencia de la piscina fueron lo que me sugirió esta toma.

Week 11, 2020: Triangular composition / Composición triangular
This pool next to the sea also resides abandoned, the hurricanes have removed the walls that separated it from the sea, just as the former owners of this residence were also separated. Now it serves as almost natural rectangles for bathers to enjoy the summer in the waters that communicate with the sea through pipes at the bottom. The composition is divided into two main triangles in order to meet the challenge posed.

Abandonada también reside esta piscina pegada al mar, los huracanes les han quitado las paredes que la separaban del mar, como separados quedaron también los antiguos dueños de esta residencia. Ahora sirve como rectángulos casi naturales para que los bañistas disfruten del verano en las aguas que se comunican con el mar por tuberías del fondo. La composición se divide en dos triángulos principales en aras de cumplir con el reto planteado.

Week 12, 2020: Books / Libros
My daughter had just been given this Moana doll, I used it as a model along with our collection of very small books. In the background, an equally tiny bookcase, custom made to house 6 of these dwarf books that we have. Alice in wonderland depicted here.

A mi hija le acababan de regalar esta muñeca de Moana, la usé de modelo junto a nuestra colección de libros muy pequeños. Al fondo, un librero igualmente minúsculo, hecho a la medida para albergar 6 de estos libros enanos que tenemos.

Week 13, 2020: Line from a song / Verso de una canción
I couldn't find a better song line than Carly Rae's, Call me maybe. So I downloaded the poster for that album from the internet, changed the profile photo of my home landline stored on my cell and dialed my own cellphone number from there. With the camera waiting for that moment, the photo of Carly calling me appears. Click!

No encontré una línea de canción mejor que la de Carly Rae, Call me maybe. Así que bajé de internet el poster de ese disco, cambié la foto de perfil del teléfono fijo de mi casa almacenado en mi celular y marqué mi número móvil desde ahí. Con la cámara esperando ese momento, sale la foto de Carly llamándome. Click!

Week 14, 2020: Curves / Curvas
I am very struck by the texture formed by the scales of the fish, so this time I took the photo with some eggs well aligned, with the flash at the same height as them to achieve a good contrast. I really liked the curves that were accentuated!

Me llama mucho la atención de la textura que forman las escamas de los pescados, así que esta vez hice la foto con unos huevos bien alineados, con el flash a la misma altura de ellos para lograr un buen contraste. Me gustaron mucho las curvas que se acentuaron!

Some photos correspond better than others to each challenge posed...I will embrace imperfection!
Algunas fotos corresponden mejor que otras a cada reto planteado...abrazaré la imperfección!
