For us emotional life and relationships takes precedence over physical surroundings.
Sunday was Parents' Day, honoring the vital role we play in shaping our future generation and our daughter wanted us to celebrate it at home, by preparing two cakes - one for her and one for me. The lady is quite occupied with the hospital duty as her father is yet to be discharged ( everything going good, its just a procedural stay), so me and the boy put all the helping hand needed for our daughter. She spent the entire afternoon preparing these two beautiful cakes for us. It feels great to see their emotional values reflected in their duty towards us from such a young age - doing so much of work in her small cute hands, with so much patience. I am literally zero in preparing any kind of food, and even lack these basic ideas, except bringing any ingredients that are needed. The boy being a foodie, has full visibility - but our daughter wanted to do everything on her own, except the boy putting the helping hand in the frosting process.
By evening, the cakes were ready and we waited for the lady to come back from hospital. When she heard about the celebration and saw these cakes, she was delighted with the way the kids shaped up the idea, preparing everything at home. All her tiredness took a back seat and we enjoyed these little powerful moments of happiness at home - it's hard to express in words.
It does not need to be a great ambience all the time, rather what matters more is our relationships and emotional attachments and how that is transformed into commitment towards our duty, our willingness to do more for each other. The fundamental value of all the relationships are built over mutual responsibility, compassion and trust over a long period of time, building emotions that last life time. Physical surroundings can never limit our emotional life and relationships - rather a strong relationship with high emotional values can always surpass any challenge that comes our way. When we were kids, I have seen my parents going to the extra mile and doing their best to make us happy with basic needs of life, because back then, earning the basic needs were not easy. With time, things have changed, we can now afford anything that we want, but that has not affected our emotional life and relationships - the core values built over hardship stays with us for our entire life.

That emotional aura is radiating and quite apparent from your body language. AT times we do not need to express something; our act, our presence, and the way we deliver a relationship, making it a functional good, passively and silently expresses everything.
When a wife is prosperous at home, and the emotional health of the family is sound, then the wife and kids become confident outside. Most of the things kids learn from their parents. These happenings and events are testament to the fact that you are ageing nicely and your kids are growing in a healthy way, both in the context of emotional and material happiness.
May you have many such events and emotional transactions with one another that radiate outward and inspire many.

The cakes look nice especially that mum's own with chocolate designs on it. It's nice to see her putting home first and sacrificing her time to get things like this done even in a tight schedule.
It's good you are replicating what your parents did to you by going to the extra miles to putting the family first and making sure the basic needs are being provided. There are those who neglect these duties and at some point even deny their children. I wonder why they brought them to life at the fist place. That could affect those children's attitudes emotionally.
Ya, it will not only affect children's attitudes, it will even create revenge and negative attitudes which would ultimately affect them in their old age. What we do for our kids, is only understood whey they grow up, when they become parent.
Very delicious cake, it would not make sense to her to not have an amazing moment of celebration with family in the parents day, and to be frank, it’s a lot interesting to be done that way. And you don’t blame him for giving that helping hand, I am a foodie as well, so I perfectly understand how it makes me happy to give a helping hands in food I want to see it prepare in less time, so that I can finally have a taste.

Totally agree with you. I think the idea that the physical environment limits our emotional life and relationships is formed when trying to reconcile the past generation with the present generation. Because back then, people had to work hard to earn something. Today, with the increase in population, the physical environment has changed and everything has come close to us. The generation is now accustomed to holding on to almost every difficulty, and it is clear that the values acquired through it will remain with us in the future.
It looks like the cakes turned out great. I like that you celebrate the holiday together instead of separate like we do over in the US. They have separate mother's day and father's day here.

First of all, I am glad to know that your wife's father is already in much better health, so let's hope he can be home soon. At the same time, the education you teach your children is the best. Yes it's good to be in a good physical environment but when the emotional and relationship environment isn't doing well even a good physical environment is useless so emotional stability and great relationships makes even a bad physical environment conducive to stay

The cakes are beautiful, it's a wonderful thing to have a great family like yours, this day has prove an honor, value and ethics of staying together as a family, it's my great joy hoping to have a family as yours.
