aah, just reading this, slowed things down for me 🥰 I love long walks at the coast but especially love escaping to the mountains. There's nothing like an invigorating hike with the reward of views to die for on the way up and from the top if we make it hehe. When I can't get away to the mountains or to spend time with special friends, you can find me reading or writing to recentre myself. I spend time reading Scripture too and digging deeper into its many layers. Looks like you had a lovely time on that visit to Cornwall. I hope you had a lovely Christmas, Milly. I haven't been very active on Hive this year... lots of stuff impacting me offline.... but as always, I yearn to be back writing and engaging with all of you. Hopefully, soon xx

There's something special about the mountains that I think is underrated. The air is fresher and psychologically being up high lifts my mind too.

I know exactly what you mean. I find myself just standing still purveying the landscape and taking in long slow breaths with my arms outstretched. I marvel at the beautiful creation that we find ourselves in. I love the cold air, the silence, the sense of privilege of being on top of the world. I think 2024 has brought many challenges for many people, most of which we would like to put behind us, but which continue to linger. I pray that we all have a blessed 2025.
