To begin with I feel that the main thing to have a good day is to take care of having a good night, so you could say that my day starts the night before. Since I was very little I have always had very bad sleeping habits, so I got used to not having rituals to sleep better or to go to bed when my body can't take it anymore, but I have noticed that when I take care of relaxing my mind and my body to sleep the right hours I have more productive days and my nervous system is calmer and although it is not something I always do, I try to do it.
After a good night's rest or not, usually my days start with reading whether I feel good or not emotionally, as I told you in my previous post I take the time to read and reflect on what I read, it is important for me to do so because it helps me to have a more positive day and motivated to grow, improve and develop qualities, this is something I do every day after waking up and before anything else.
For some time now I no longer eat breakfast, but I prepare a green juice that I really drink because it helps me to reduce inflammation in some organs and also helps me with some stomach problems I have, in the process of preparing my juice, I make a conscious effort to wash everything I dirty or organize what I moved from place to place, to avoid causing messes or to avoid that I accumulate tasks.
In fact, at home we made a little rule that everyone must wash what they have soiled, this has made it a little easier for us to do the dishes, which seems to be a task that never ends. Sometimes when I don't sleep well or I am in a hurry I put it aside and at the end of the day there is a lot to tidy up, so I mentally repeat to myself that the next day I should tidy up what I messed up.
After this I usually leave the house to work or do other activities, so both my husband and I have decided to make good use of the time and whenever possible, go on foot to do things. Almost everything is relatively close to us and as they say in my country this way "we kill two birds with one stone", because we do our activities at the same time that we exercise a little and avoid spending on tickets, also we consider that at least in our case, walking is a kind of therapy.
For noon we made a deal to avoid spending money on fast food or street food, we decided to do this because of a stomach bacteria I got from something I ate at a fast food stand, and the truth is that we both love homemade food so it is a good thing, we take care of our health and we do not make those small expenses that at the end of the month are quite noticeable. I'm almost always in charge of preparing the lunches, but when I feel bad or don't feel like it, my husband does it.
Although I must admit that when I am in my days like right now, my body asks for sweets and things like that, in that case I make a small exception and we buy cookies or something like that, this because I am still not an expert in preparing healthy sweets, but I hope to do it soon, because the truth is that I am working on giving up sugar completely, although I have reduced a lot its consumption and that is a great achievement.
The days are much easier and bearable when you simplify things, small actions like separating the meats per day, or taking care of a part of the house for a little while a day, make a big difference, it's like a gift from your past self to your present self, when you look around and there are few tasks to do and I love that, I think when I do not want to do something right away "You will thank you later" or when I see the order and I feel peace "thank you Jemima, for leaving this for me".
Of course not every day is good, for example recently I felt pretty bad emotionally and the truth is that I was not so productive, I slept badly, I woke up super tired and the house chores piled up, for these cases also be understanding with me and give me the time to feel bad, is something that personally helps me to deal a little better with my emotions, I let them free to a certain point, and then start again.

I think that's the foundation of what everyone should aim to improve.
That green juice looks amazing!
I agree with this wholeheartedly. It makes sense and when you look at it, you have to ask, "Who are you leaving this dirty dish/cup or whatever it is to clean?"
These habits are positive ones. Kudos to you because they seem to be working well for you and your family, by simplifying life in general:)
