Seasonal change: small changes today
To make a long story short, I have a trip coming up during the Christmas holidays that will last about 45 days. On this trip, I have many places to visit, discover, and, of course, wear my best outfits to show off in those wonderful photos that I will later post here on Hive. But What should I take? What should I leave behind? What is important?

I'll start with the most recent topic: Small changes.
It turns out that the first thing I did was empty my entire closet. From what I wear every day to what I have stored away for “when I lose those extra pounds.” I realized that I have too many clothes, some of which I bought more than 10 years ago and still have the tags on; that can't be normal.
One of the first changes is about valuing what I have and letting go of what really doesn't add value to my life anymore. I started with my work clothes. I have a uniform, so how many shirts do I need? Why do I need 10 pairs of pants? And if I go to an important company, do I want them to see me in faded or outdated clothes? That's where this whole process of letting go of what is no longer for me began: see-through fabrics, sequins, low-cut tops, tight pants. I took out a good amount of these clothes, which I bid farewell to with much love.
On the other hand, there are clothes for going out, meetings, or special events. I'm no longer a 20-year-old girl wearing shorts or tight clothes, so I got rid of those youthful clothes to make way for fresher clothes that I feel comfortable in. Among them, I got rid of panties and dresses, as well as some T-shirts and shirts that have become my favorites.
Now, my changes didn't stop there, and I went for the torn towels, incomplete sheet sets or those that had lost their elasticity or color, old-fashioned blankets with those smells that won't go away, to make way for what we're really going to use at home. My mother has 45-year-old sheets stored away “for a special occasion,” and I wonder, when will that special event be? That's why I took them out, and we're using them.

I feel super relaxed, happy, and above all, that I did a good deed because I didn't give away useless clothes. I know that the person who received them did so with love and will give everything I gave them a new use.
I now have a lot of space, and one of my goals is to wear the clothes and not keep saving them for “the right occasion.”

Speaking of occasions, I have a very important romantic trip coming up with my J. J., so looking pretty, well, prettier 😍 is one of my priorities. However, on previous trips we've taken, no matter how short or close to home, I always pack TOO MUCH CLOTHING, because “you never know what might happen.”
This year I want to do things differently; first, because I think I've gotten over that banality, and second because it's a low-cost flight, so I should only pack what I really need to wear in my suitcase and bag.

In my backpack, I will carry:
🎒 My documents and tickets. Without them, I can't get anywhere. Plus, at least two pens for immigration paperwork.
🎒 I would say I will carry cash, but only cards with local currency.
🎒 My electronic devices, with their respective chargers, for waiting at airports, check-ins, and keeping in touch with the world.
🎒 I'll also bring some medicine for motion sickness, headaches, and allergies, which are always in my bag.
🎒 Since I'll be spending many hours in airports and eating, I bought some super cute containers to carry creams, oils, alcohol, and basic makeup so I can look presentable at all times 😎.
🎒 Finally, I can't bring any food, so I have to leave room to buy food and drinks in the waiting room and take them with me, because the layovers will be too short to sit down and enjoy anything.
Now, in my suitcase, the important things are shirts and sweaters because it will be very cold, and pants and shoes, which I'm taking in combinations so I can cover all my planned outfits. I think everything is under control, so I'm just waiting 13 days for it to happen 💯.
