Present moment focus is like the lamp that dispels aged old darkness.

in Buddhism5 months ago

In a room where light has not reached for a thousand year, a lamp turned on will immediately brighten it. All past darkness are irrelevant and dispelled at once.

This is the power of present moment awareness.

Don’t dwell in the past. It has passed and not relevant anymore.

Just focus on the present.

Present moment focus is like the lamp that dispels aged old darkness.

Nice share!

I've been waiting for a long time for you to post something but today I saw it.... How are you my friend 👍

I guess this is similar to the saying Live in the Moment, or Live in the Now. I really like their usage of the lamp. In total darkness, there is no point trying to look behind [past] or too far in front [future], since the lamp can only show what is near you [present].

The here and now.
In the West it is presented to us as mindfulness and we only live in the present. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow has not yet arrived. Others express it in a phrase that I particularly like: Just for today.

Happy and blessed day.
