Manu Chao is great Super Ed! All his albums after Mano Negra are good, but especially Clandestino and Esperanza are very good. And as you can understand the lyrics of the songs, I recommend them to you:)
And since you already tried arepas. If you manage to make them at home when you are areping hungry you can get creative and even make arepa with haggis, hehe.
