This highlight features samples from my released track 'Space'. This is one of the ways I like to try to bridge the gap between my modular improvisations and my released tracks. To do so I take quite a small selection of samples from the track in question and load them into the modular to be played on and built upon to create a new improvisation with some of those elements.
In practice what that normally means is going back to my original project in Ableton Live and exporting a few samples that will be relatively easy to use in the modular. This might be some percussive hits or loops or some short melodic lines.
The sample playback time and quality I have in the modular is limited so there's no way I will be reproducing entire sections or melodies, so it's quite interesting to try to identify the really core elements to represent the track with.
In this case it's a short snippet from the melody, the repetitive single note beeping sound and the distinctive pad/chord loop that plays at the very beginning of the track. I trim these very carefully and often transpose them into C (normally minor) which is the default tuning for the other parts of my modular.
Then once in the modular it's a case of adding new elements, mixing them together and generally experimenting to create something new, yet also familiar!

An electronic pop track, born from a time when a lot of people were struggling with their mental health as we came out of the pandemic.
Second Time Around is a reassuring song reminding people that they are loved and that they will have a chance for a do over, to get things right again when given the chance for some normality and equilibrium to be restored in their lives.

I really enjoyed this particular show since "Space" is one of my favorite tracks. (I use it a lot in my IG stories, too lol) But what really makes it fun is how the modular adds the surprise, random components to it when you play. When you think you can't be surprised anymore, another one pops up! :)
And your track with Rocco is amazing (as all your tracks). I really appreciate the sentiment of the song as well, being someone who is very vocal about the importance of mental health. It really makes you appreciate what we do have in this lifetime. This will definitely remain high on my Spotify playlist.

I wasn't making a proxy appeal. I was asking you nicely to please stop downvoting quality comments on my posts. It's to the detriment of Hive and an abuse of power.
None of your comments or posts has been downvoted by us.
It's not feasible to daily go and do a special task of checking the comments section under your posts to look if any blacklisted account commented on them, and then to remove the blacklist microvotes manually.
Besides, why would remove the blacklist microvotes. They are there for a reason.
The community needs to see which accounts are blacklisted.

Whether you do it manually or you write/improve automated code to do so is up to you.
