Musicalmente y líricamente es una genialidad, la música fue compuesta por Carlos Gardel y la letra por Alfredo Le Pera, es una cita al poema de Amado Nervo "El día que me quieras" de su libro "El arquero divino" del año 1919.
Esta versión me gusta particularmente por la hermosa orquesta que se escucha de fondo y por la brillante voz de bajo de Roberto Goyeneche, otra versión que me encanta es la de Edmundo Rivero, posee estas mismas características.
Finalmente dejo la versión original, la de Carlos Gardel, como dice el dicho popular en Argentina: Gardel canta cada día mejor.
