Squidgy, delicious dub. There's nothing lovelier to chill out to in that hour or two in the afternoon where nothing happens.

Jamie's quiet, contemplating going back to work, applying for a job. He doesn't want to, but three days a week is as sweet as you get. It's him that's put the dub on - there's a radio show called The Good, the Dub and the Global on Melbourne Alt radio and the DJ this week played some very sweet tunes you can get lost in.
If you don't know what dub is, here's a quick run down. It's basically an offshoot of 1970s Jamaican reggae where the mixing desk becomes an instrument in its own right. Producers like King Tubby and Lee “Scratch” Perry stripped songs back to bass, drums, and fragments of vocals, then rebuilt them with echo, reverb, drop-outs, and sudden shifts in space and volume, which made the music seem really hypnotic and spacious. It's definitely more about the mood through exploration of sound, and it kinda laid the ground for electronic music to come. So it was pretty important historically.
And it's perfect for chilling on the couch.

The wind is southerly which feels like a blessing after the hot northerlies, and it makes the surf terrible so I don't have fomo. Still, I guess it's sad the holiday makers aren't having fun in the sun - apart from the odd day of heat and the extreme heat coupled with fires, it's been a dud January so far. I have only missed two swims this year, and they've been providing me a little sanity.
Well I need to get on with dinner. I have a few posts in draft but am too chill to get around to writing much. That's January for you. Deliciously dubby and languid and liquid.
Peace, dub and love at ya.
With Love,

It's relaxing. I'll lie on my back and listen to some more music from my childhood.
Sounds like a lullaby! Very chill.
Interesting tunes. I could get into them when I am partaking of the mojo.🤣 I have been doing a lot of meditation lately and listening to meditation type music and sounds. It has really been helping me with anxiety a great deal. So much so, that I think I will be able to say goodbye to my meds taken for it soon.
Wow that's incredible! What kind of meditation music? Cox there's a few sorts .. it'd be great to get off meds, I hope you have a plan to do that safely as med withdrawal can be hard... But I know you know that.
Here is what I listening to lately.
Yes I am going to do it safely under supervision of my provider.
I learnt a new word, glad I'm not the only one feeling...
Thought there's something wrong with me, just can't seem to get going...start a project, then turn it into a mini project, but realized I need to just listen to my body and enjoy feeling dubby!
