Drum & Bass and Perhaps Another Half Marathon On The Cards...

Right, let's start off with the half marathon idea...

Those of you who have followed me on here over the last few years will have seen me post about my marathons and various fitness challenges - of which you boys and girls (and everything in between) helped raise some money for Alzheimer's Society.

I've done 5 full marathons and about 6 half marathons but the last race I did was in 2017, one of the most brutal half marathons in the mountains of the Lake District!

Since then, I've only done the odd 5km and trying to stay fit doing push-ups, sit-ups and playing tennis.

But today was a day where I met with old school friends and we were reminiscing in our younger days of the 20s when recovery times were much less and we didn't have to worry so much about getting injured lol.

We're all a bit older, a bit more overweight, a lot more unfit lol.

Anyway, one of them brought up the subject of doing an exotic half marathon in the Norwegian Fjords as he picked up a leaflet with that on from when we did that Lake District half marathon.

@fredrikaa - you live in Norway if I remember, are you aware of this half marathon - Knarvikmila?

I'm sure it will be a beautiful race with plenty of awesome views. In fact, it starts on Sunday 4th September so I don't think we'll be entering in for that one this year! Perhaps in 2023 ;)

Discovery

Feeling the good vibes from this weekend is going to be hard to top but one tune I feel is appropriate to share from the archives is this one called Discovery, from the Discovery EP.

You can tell it's an old one (around 2015) as I don't really have a logo, it's just the old text font I used to use before getting a proper one set up.

Which reminds me, I should re-release this one as it's not on Spotify anywhere and seems to just be automatically on my channel from when it was on a label I previously released with.

As the image from the cover art suggest, this is all about floating on the clouds as you discover new places and enjoy the journey.

Hopefully us old school friends can stay healthy and we get to go to Norway next year - we'll see how our legs get on! In the meantime, enjoy the tune!

ELO once had an album named Discovery, too.

Hope you get to Norway! That would be awesome. In the meantime I'll enjoy the tune!

They did indeed! I heard a dnb bootleg of Evil Woman many years ago and it was pretty epic - think it got taken down from soundcloud though!

Thanks Victor! I had a read on the event page of that half marathon and it sounds brutal in terms of terrain running but the views will be worth it I'm sure!

Very nice
Thank you
