I do remember Shola Ama, but for "You're the One I Love" (which was great at the time), though her cover of this "Randy Crawford" song is palatable.
Being the old bastard I am, the Randy one will always be in my head and Shola warbles a little for my taste. I hope you know what I mean by that.
Yes I get what you mean, I think Randy is for sure in another league compared to Shola. I loved Street Life from the Jackie Brown movie alot.
It's been decades since I watched Jackie Brown but I do know 'Street Life' as in The Crusaders song, which is Randy fronting.
