Well, I don't see many posts about Taylor Swift around here or in any of the other Hive communities (by the way, this post is based on my opinion only, or not).

I am not fluent in English, which may contain some grammar mistakes in my text.

I really like Taylor Swift, it's not like an obsession but I really like her narrative, it's not about her 'trashing' her ex-relationships, it's just how she narrates it, btw she doesn't just talk about ex-lovers in her songs, but the media created an image of her as a troubled ex-girlfriend and people embraced that, because it's easier to hate something than to understand her perspective (by the way, I've never seen reviews about men dissing their ex-girlfriends).

Nowadays it's very difficult to listen to pop music, because more than half of the industry is just singing songs about s*x or not even writing their own songs, and I know that a lot of people are not listening to music just for fun, in general people listen to music to have something to identify with and I think Taylor Swift is able to make people immerse themselves in those emotions, because she is a storyteller and makes the reader (in this case the listener) want to read/listen to the next chapter... Maybe that's the reason why she's still relevant, even after 17 years of career.

Me gusta mucho Taylor Swift, no es como una obsesión, pero me gusta mucho su narrativa, no se trata de que ella 'destroce' sus ex-relaciones, es solo cómo lo narra, por cierto, no solo habla de ex-amantes en sus canciones, pero los medios crearon una imagen de ella como una exnovia con problemas y la gente aceptó eso, porque es más fácil odiar algo que entender su perspectiva (por cierto, nunca he visto reseñas sobre hombres que menosprecien a su ex -novias).

Hoy en día es muy difícil escuchar música pop, porque más de la mitad de la industria solo canta canciones sobre sexo o ni siquiera escribe sus propias canciones, y sé que mucha gente no escucha música solo por diversión. en general la gente escucha música para tener algo con lo que identificarse y creo que Taylor Swift es capaz de hacer que la gente se sumerja en esas emociones, porque es una narradora y hace que el lector (en este caso el oyente) quiera leer/escuchar el próximo capítulo... Tal vez esa es la razón por la que sigue siendo relevante, incluso después de 17 años de carrera.
