Hace como unas dos semanas atrás @baesed me invitó a participar en esta iniciativa la cual me pareció bastante interesante porque es una manera de experimentar a pequeña escala todas esas emociones que podemos llegar a tener cuando vemos a nuestro artista favorito en un concierto en vivo y directo. Si con el solo hecho de ver el vídeo del concierto se nos pone la piel de gallina y nos estremecemos por tanta emoción, imagínense cómo sería en vivo y directo…¡una completa locura!
About two weeks ago @baesed invited me to participate in this initiative which I found quite interesting because it is a way to experience on a small scale all those emotions that we can have when we see our favorite artist in a live concert. If just watching the video of the concert gives us goosebumps and makes us shudder with emotion, imagine what it would be like live and direct...complete madness!

Les cuento que yo en mis casi 24 años sólo he logrado asistir a dos conciertos…aunque bueno, siendo justos uno de ellos no eran un concierto en sí, era más como una presentación rápida de un artista que yo ni siquiera disfrutaba tanto de escuchar, por lo que tampoco disfruté enormemente la experiencia. Lamentablemente nací mucho después de esa época dorada en donde a mi país venían cantantes extranjeros a dar presentaciones asombrosas y, muy tristemente, a medida que el tiempo fue transcurriendo Venezuela dejó de ser una opción rentable para que las grandes bandas y cantantes del momento ofrecieran conciertos. Pero bueno, el punto de esta publicación no es entristecernos, sino comentar un poco acerca de aquellas bandas o artistas individuales que nos encantaría ver en concierto…así que sin más qué decir, ¡aquí les dejo mi Top 5!
I tell you that in my almost 24 years I have only managed to attend two concerts...although, to be fair, one of them was not a concert in itself, it was more like a quick presentation of an artist that I didn't even enjoy listening to that much, so I didn't really enjoy the experience either. Unfortunately I was born long after that golden era where foreign singers came to my country to give amazing performances and, very sadly, as time went by Venezuela stopped being a profitable option for the great bands and singers of the moment to offer concerts. But well, the point of this post is not to make us sad, but to comment a little about those bands or individual artists that we would love to see in concert...so without further ado, here is my Top 5!
TAYLOR SWIFT
Taylor ha sido una de mis cantantes favoritas de toda la vida. Ella ha logrado conseguir perfectamente algo que muchos artistas no: plasmar sus sentimientos más vulnerables y reales en canciones extraordinarias, aunque es por ese motivo que muchos la catalogan como una loca dramática y exagerada, pero lo cierto es que para mí eso es lo que la convierte en una gran artista.
Taylor ha tenido varias etapas a lo largo de su carrera y sin duda la que a mí más me ha gustado ha sido su etapa country. Aunque también esa etapa que hubo en medio de su transición del country al pop (donde sus canciones no eran completamente country, pero tampoco completamente pop) me gustaba bastante y creo que su álbum Red forma parte de esa etapa. Pero algo que ha identificado a Taylor desde siempre han sido las puestas de escena de sus conciertos, que la verdad son tan maravillosas como impresionantes.
Los escenarios siempre poseen grandes plataformas a las que Taylor suele llegar de dos formas bastante particulares: caminando a través del público o por medio de balcones voladores…¿se imaginan ver a tu cantante favorita volando por encima de tu cabeza mientras canta alguna de sus canciones más icónicas? ¡eso sí que es un gran espectáculo! Cabe mencionar que en sus shows cada canción está caracterizada por colores, coreografías y vestuarios particulares. Por ejemplo, en la presentación de We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together en The RED Tour Live la temática en particular es un circo…¡esa puesta en escena es una de mis favoritas!
A pesar que The Red Tour ha sido mi favorito hasta el momento, no puedo dejar de mencionar el Reputation Stadium Tour. El vídeo de este concierto también es increíble y la decoración del escenario es de serpientes. Podemos visualizar serpientes gigantes en el escenario e incluso uno de los balcones voladores que traslada a Taylor de un sitio a otro tiene forma de cadáver de serpiente. La razón de porqué usar serpientes tiene una razón en particular, pues ese fue el apodo despectivo que en algún momento Swift recibió y que bueno…al final de cuentas lo terminó convirtiendo en una marca personal, ¡esta mujer es toda una genia!
Taylor has been one of my all-time favorite singers. She has managed to perfectly achieve something that many artists do not: to capture her most vulnerable and real feelings in extraordinary songs, although it is for that reason that many label her as a crazy dramatic and exaggerated, but the truth is that for me that is what makes her a great artist.
Taylor has had several stages throughout her career and without a doubt the one I have liked the most has been her country stage. Although I also liked that stage in the middle of her transition from country to pop (where her songs were not completely country, but not completely pop either) and I think her album Red is part of that stage. But something that has always identified Taylor has always been the staging of her concerts, which are as wonderful as they are impressive.
The stages always have large platforms that Taylor usually reaches in two very particular ways: walking through the audience or by means of flying balconies...can you imagine seeing your favorite singer flying over your head while she sings one of her most iconic songs? that's a great show! It is worth mentioning that in her shows each song is characterized by particular colors, choreographies and costumes. For example, in the presentation of We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together in The RED Tour Live the particular theme is a circus...that staging is one of my favorites!
Although The Red Tour has been my favorite so far, I can't help but mention the Reputation Stadium Tour. The video for this concert is also amazing and the stage decoration is snakes. We can visualize giant snakes on stage and even one of the flying balconies that moves Taylor from one place to another is shaped like a snake corpse. The reason for using snakes has a particular reason, because that was the derogatory nickname that Swift received at some point and well... at the end of the day she ended up turning it into a personal brand, this woman is a genius!
AC/DC
AC/DC es una de mis bandas de rock favoritas. Imagínense poder verlos en vivo y directo, creo que una de las cosas más divertidas sería poder ver al inigualable Angus Young tocando magistralmente su guitarra y vestido con su tradicional atuendo de colegial. El vídeo que aquí les comparto es un fragmento del Live at River Plate el cual fue el último DVD en vivo de la banda y que documenta tres de los conciertos brindados en Buenos Aires en el año 2009 y que fueron parte del Black Ice Tour.
Sólo vean a esa gran masa de personas completamente eufóricos, brincando y cantando a todo pulmón las canciones. Y ahora vayan al minuto 3:19 hasta el minuto 3:27 y vean a Angus Young llevando a cabo una marcha graciosa sobre el escenario. Yo sólo veo este vídeo y cada una de las tomas hace que la piel se me ponga de gallina, estar ahí en vivo y directo sintiendo toda esa emoción debe de ser algo realmente indescriptible.
AC/DC is one of my favorite rock bands. Imagine being able to see them live, I think one of the most fun things would be to see the one and only Angus Young masterfully playing his guitar and dressed in his traditional schoolboy attire. The video I'm sharing here is a clip from Live at River Plate which was the band's last live DVD and which documents three of the concerts given in Buenos Aires in 2009 and which were part of the Black Ice Tour.
Just look at that huge mass of people completely euphoric, jumping and singing at the top of their lungs the songs. And now go to minute 3:19 to minute 3:27 and see Angus Young performing a funny march on stage. I just watch this video and every single shot makes my skin crawl, to be there live and direct feeling all that emotion must be something really indescribable.
LADY GAGA
Gaga ha sido una de esas artistas que ha dejado un fuerte impacto en la historia musical. Muchos no compaginan demasiado con su estilo artístico tan diferente y un poco extravagante, pero eso es lo que la ha llevado a sobresalir y a crear auténticas maravillas. Sus shows son cosa de otro mundo, desde la decoración del escenario hasta sus extravagantes vestuarios ella siempre logra sorprender a sus espectadores.
The Born This Way Ball Tour ha sido uno de mis favoritos, la puesta en escena ha sido una de las mejores cosas jamás vistas pues el escenario estaba conformado por un colorido castillo medieval en donde se desplegaban un batallón de bailarines, trapecistas y un sinfín de elementos visuales.
Pero sin duda, una de las actuaciones de Gaga que es digna de mencionar aquí en este post fue su presentación en el Espectáculo de Medio Tiempo del Super Bowl en el año 2017, ¡qué presentación tan bárbara y de verdad cómo me la disfruté! Este show tenía de todo: Gaga haciendo acrobacias en el aire y dando saltos al vacío, juegos pirotécnicos y hasta 300 drones que simulaban ser estrellas en el cielo. Sin duda alguna, me encantaría poder disfrutar de algún show en vivo de esta cantante…se vale soñar un poco, ¿cierto?
Gaga has been one of those artists who has left a strong impact on musical history. Many do not agree too much with her artistic style so different and a bit extravagant, but that is what has led her to stand out and create true wonders. Her shows are out of this world, from the stage decorations to her extravagant costumes she always manages to amaze her audience.
The Born This Way Ball Tour**_ has been one of my favorites, the staging has been one of the best things ever seen as the stage was made up of a colorful medieval castle where a battalion of dancers, trapeze artists and endless visual elements were deployed.
But without a doubt, one of Gaga's performances that is worth mentioning here in this post was her performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2017, what a barbaric performance and really how I enjoyed it! This show had everything: Gaga doing acrobatics in the air and jumping into the void, fireworks and even 300 drones pretending to be stars in the sky. Without a doubt, I would love to enjoy a live show of this singer...it's worth dreaming a little, right?
QUEEN
Me hubiese tanto gustado haber nacido un poco antes de los años 70 y haber podido disfrutar de Queen cuando dieron su concierto en tierras Venezolanas por allá en el año 1981. Sin duda Freddy Mercury es recordado por todos como uno de los más grandes vocalistas de la historia del rock, además de que entonaba cada nota con la mayor de las pasiones.
Sobre el escenario él desplegaba una gran carisma y lograba conectar con el público de forma casi inmediata y de una manera asombrosa. Y era esa interacción que había con el público lo que hacía cada presentación de Queen tan especial, Freddie sabía perfectamente como improvisar con el público y así emocionar a su audiencia cada vez más y más hasta hacerlos sentir también como parte del show.
I would have liked to have been born a little earlier than the 70's and have been able to enjoy Queen when they gave their concert in Venezuela back in 1981. Freddy Mercury is undoubtedly remembered by all as one of the greatest vocalists in the history of rock, besides the fact that he sang every note with the greatest passion.
On stage he displayed great charisma and managed to connect with the audience almost immediately and in an amazing way. And it was that interaction with the audience that made every Queen performance so special, Freddie knew perfectly how to improvise with the audience and thus thrill his audience more and more until he made them feel part of the show as well.
BEYONCÉ
Imposible no incluir a esta gran diva de la música en este Top. Beyoncé sabe cómo dar un buen show, ella realmente se ve como toda una diosa sobre el escenario. Nunca he seguido tan de cerca su carrera, así como lo hago con Taylor Swift por ejemplo, pero he escuchado muchas de sus canciones y además...cómo no maravillarse ante la voz tan asombrosa que posee esta mujer.
Entre mis canciones favoritas de Beyoncé tengo que mencionar: Halo, Crazy in Love y Sweet Dreams. Halo fue el número de cierre en el The Formation World Tour y justamente ese acto final del show se llevó a cabo en una gran piscina dispuesta en la parte final de la gran pasarela del escenario...sin duda ese fue un gran cierre.
Impossible not to include this great music diva in this Top. Beyoncé knows how to give a good show, she really looks like a goddess on stage. I have never followed her career as closely as I do Taylor Swift for example, but I have listened to many of her songs and besides...how can you not marvel at the amazing voice this woman possesses.
Among my favorite Beyoncé songs I have to mention: Halo, Crazy in Love and Sweet Dreams. Halo was the closing number on The Formation World Tour and just that final act of the show took place in a big pool at the end of the big catwalk stage...no doubt that was a great closing.

Hola, jaja un poco tarde pero se me perdió esa publicación entre las notificaciones lo siento, que bueno que te hayas unido a mi iniciativa, me gustan todos excepto Taylor jaja, no la he escuchado nunca, Amo los conciertos de Queen, la película los retrata demasiado bien, bueno además de Lady Gaga con sus presentaciones y atuendos un poco fuera de lo común del pop, con mentalidades abstractas, ame tu post <3.
Jaja tranquilo, no te preocupes...a mí también se me suelen perder las publicaciones entre las notificaciones. Taylor es tremenda cantante y compositora, lo triste es que los medios de comunicación y otros artistas también influyentes le han creado una muy mala reputación :( Jajaja, siento que el estilo artístico de Gaga a veces es un poquito incomprendido...al principio yo también la consideraba un poco "loca" pero después le fui tomando cierto aprecio.
