Buenas y Mejores hivers musicales! no se si les ha pasado, pero hay veces que uno descubre una cancion a traves de un cover, y cuando se busca la version original, pues alucinas de lo magica que es. Asi me paso con esta cancion, de Ruben Blades, llamada "Y deja", la escuche por primera vez en el album de C4 trio, una agrupacion espectacularmente increible (paramisonlostitanesdelcuatroactualmente), y tenian este tema, que me fascinaba (como todos los temas de la agrupacion) y lo escuchaba una y otra vez, hasta que un dia, preste un poco de atencion a lo que decian los musicos antes de comenzar la cancion: "Epa y un tema de Ruben?" dice nosequien de todos ellos, si alguien sabe, me dice, gracias la gerencia. Y ahi fue que yo me quede pensando en que probablemente la cancion no era la original.

Asi que le pregunte a un amigo super conocedor de musica latina de los 90 si la conocia, y el me dijo "Claaaro chamoo, esa es Blades, nawara es bellisima" e inmediatamente la busque, y me enamore del arreglo, y su letra no es para menos, que como es ligera y trata de un tema habitual, te permite echarte un chapuzon en la voz de blades y los arreglos de bossa y otros ritmos latinos que utiliza. La cancion es maravillosa y les dejo todas las versiones debajo, la mia, la de C4 y la de Ruben. Y pos, sin mas nada que aniadir, espero las disfruten, les dejo la letra, y me disipo, digo, despido -se desvanece-.

PD: luego de un par de regaños profesionales y un poco de investigación, la canción original no es de Blades ni si quieraaa! resulta que es de Piloto y Vera, par de compositores cubanos geniales. Una falta de investigación terrible de mi parte!

I don't know if it has ever happened to you, but there are times when you discover a song through a cover, and when you look for the original version, you are amazed by how magical it is. That's what happened to me with this song, by Ruben Blades, called "Y deja", I heard it for the first time in the album of C4 trio and Rafael "El pollo" Brito "De repente", a spectacularly incredible group (for me they're the titans of the cuatro instrument in actuality), and they had this song, which fascinated me (like all the songs of the group) and I listened to it over and over again, until one day, I paid a little attention to what the musicians said before starting the song: "Epa y un tema de Ruben?(Hey, and what about a Ruben's theme?)" says someone of all of them, if anyone knows, please tells me, thank you. And that's when I was thinking that the song was probably not the original.

So I asked a friend of mine who was very knowledgeable about latin music from the 90's if he knew it, and he said "Claaaro chamoo (Of course dudee), that's Blades, nawara es bellisima (woah, that's a bautiful song)" and I immediately looked it up, and I fell in love with the arrangement, and its lyrics are no less, since they're light and deals with a common theme, so, it allows you to take a dip in Blades' voice and the bossa arrangements and other latin rhythms he uses. The song is wonderful and I leave you all the versions below, mine, C4's and Ruben's. PD: After a couple of professional scoldings and a bit of research, the original song is not even by Blades! It turns out that it is by Piloto and Vera, a pair of great Cuban composers. A terrible lack of research on my part!
