I started listening to Cyberpunk music from Spotify playlists three years ago. It immediately became boring because listening to so much music of just one kind in a single session makes it so predictable and hard to enjoy. It's ok if it's just for background, but I have the "musician producer curse" of analyzing any music I'm listening to and I found out that most of cyberpunk music sounds basically the same. At one point you can't even distinguish a producer from another. Same samples, same sounds, same song structures, not just in a single artist discography but even from an artist to another.
And yet this kind of music still brings me strength, it pumps me up. It inspires me to get some of those sounds and bring them into my own music, trying not to fall into usual tropes and clichés.
I've found some artists that sticked to my taste. I always enjoy listening to their music and they don't annoy me like other ones. You know, the problem with this kind of music is that the majority of it seems to be made just to milk the Spotify playlists game. There are some exceptions in my opinion, and these are the ones I'm sharing here with you in this #threetunetuesday post.
Wake the fuck up, samurai. We have a city to burn.

Bonus song, my collaboration with Dystox in my track Thirst of Power, some cyberpunk metal for you, enjoy!
