Hi Music Community! I'm excited to share my music with you!

Hello music lovers! I'm new to the Hive community, and really excited to share some of my music with you all. But what I would love even more is some critiques, reviews, ideas or comments on our upcoming work. I'd love to introduce myself and my music.

My name is Sascha and I'm 35 years old. First and foremost I'm a father to a six month old son, Viktor, who has become the center of my world, and my inspiration to improve my own life. I've pretty much always considered myself a bit of a polymath, not necessarily exceptional at any one thing, but a true lover of knowledge, sciences and art. Over the past 29 years have had a very fulfilling musical career. Since I live in central Iowa, money has never been a motivating factor for me. Instead, I choose to focus on my artwork, and really push to challenge myself and stay open minded about all music.

I am a classically trained pianist that started at age 6. After high school, inspired by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, I picked up a candy apple red guitar and by playing 10-12 hours per day forced myself to learn Wish You Were Here in under a week with no knowledge on guitar. Ever since, I've written and performed a full length musical called Moonrock: The Musical (

I learned to play Bass Guitar in order to perform with a Paramore cover band, have been on countless local music projects, and started my band, Moonrabbit, which has now been around for over a decade. Our first album was pop rock, our second is alternative, and our most recent work is progressive.

The first image is off our first album, Water Damage, painted by our extremely talented drummer. Our first 2 albums can be heard on Spotify or Bandcamp:

Our second album, Megafauna, is a 5 song EP with a more alternative and darker vibe.

More importantly, however, I would love to hear what your thoughts are on our album in progress. It will have 8-10 tracks, of which we have 4 recorded. They are far from finished, and 2 don't have vocal tracks yet. Please let me know what you think of the music, I have put so much time and effort into making the most interesting music that I can with my band. I do this because I love it and hope to be the best musician that I can.
