The body shape of the Venezuelan cuatro resembles that of the ukulele but the cuatro is much larger, in fact professional cuatros have a much longer fingerboard.

Thank you so much for the response! Okay it is similar to a ukelele but the top string is an octave lower, as if you are merely playing normal guitar on the bottom 4 strings (and capo on 7th fret)! I believe you can play ukelele like this but you have to get a special top string that is thicker than the next one rather than thinner!
Wait, it sounds like the bottom string is also an octave lower than you'd expect? That's interesting!
