Hey there!
A week after the release of Song Request Episode 2, here is behind the scene Vlog.
It's now quite late here, so I think I am done with editing it, you will notice that it's a bit longer than the previous one and I apologize in advance. The song also took a longer time to record and produce, so it makes sense that the process is longer to document.
I hope I still managed to make it entertaining, while sharing some of my experience. I will start working on the next Song Request in 2 weeks, as I want to focus essentially on working on a music video for an original, the last month has been an incredible learning experience and a fulfilling process. I also want to write more, I am late on so many projects!

I managed to have my free 14:34 minutes to watch your entire video! I wanted to watch it yesterday but, man, it was just impossible. You really gave so much time to this cover, and your family had to have much patience. Oh, the sweetheart, how cried at about minute 12..🤗

Yes, she touched me also, baby girl.. How old she is? My son is a teenager, he doesn't want go anywhere with us 😔
She is a year and a half. We had the 2 others older at our friends who lives nearby, so they aren't running around 😁.

I chose the "best cry", in the sense that the rest of the footage, she screams a bit like a cat 😁 when they're about to fight, normally she does that just before falling asleep when she is really tired, funny thing is 2 minutes later she was out cold, but we already wrapped up everything.
I really thought I did not have enough footage. She stayed with me while I was editing the footage of the music video, and also the vlog and she totally understand what happened!
What a comparison Ed! 😁 I know that sound, that is really when they are tired or frustrated with something, or hungry...and just from one minute to other they could calm down 😇
Although you said you had to shorten a little bit the song, at the end it turned out very well 🌠 🎶

Agree with MiPiano, and others in the comment section, it was great to have you daughter crying on the video as well. Shows what production life is about, its not just a clean studio without any hassles of everyday life :)
I am happy you liked it, I haven't posted this video on Youtube yet for that matter, I might do it soon.
He indeed takes a professional approach, or so it seems :) This includes determining the best time to be at the location for the video shooting. Again, an early rise (like Ed did for the other videos he created in last weeks/month or so).
Yes, he really takes it seriously. I just hope he will have time to his original works too :)

The Ed with great talent, and the Ed that is not easily pleased: And it shows! This video gives a nice peek into what you go through in creating a 3 to 4 minute song. I like you added the additional 'instrumental' sounds. Just the guitar, seemed indeed a little empty. I felt the sound of the guitar is a little weak also, but am not sure of this is the type of your guitar, or the strings getting too old (like you mentioned somewhere in the clip as well). The spark doesn't seem to be there. That said, could also be the play style, so don't mind me too much {LOL} D*rn, I don't want to give a hint on the video, since I know you'll start trying to make this better the next time which in the end will cost you a lot more time while you already spend lots of time to create :) Therefore, please continue with whatever you like to create and I'll listen en read whatever comes to the blockchain {LOL}
ps No requests by others. Let me know when you like to get some input on this front. When all the rest stay quiet, I'll think of something.

You also right that the syncopated style doesn't gel well on it's own. Maybe 2 guitars playing simultaneously would have been a better option.

I don't know either, What I do know, is the Talk Talk one he did, Ed took the recommendation I gave for the title Ed covered. Though, as far as I remember, I didn't really say: Do this one. I think I wrote something like: If you like to try, its a difficult one, so please go ahead with something else. Then two weeks later, the cover was published, and I was: WOW! Really? WOW! 😂

The amount of time and effort it takes to produce a song was well documented in this post. That's is the only way to do anything, always to the best of your ability, and until you are personally satisfied.
I know that it has to be a little more difficult to do what you do with some of the distractions but to see a guy bring his entire family along while working is cool.
The baby crying in the background brought a big smile to my face.

THanks for your comment on point as usual haha. Yep, I actually enjoy getting the kids involved, the two others are not always interested and prefer playing minecraft, and the baby has no choice lol 😄
