Uno de los temas más populares de Luis Miguel y escuchada en YouTube es ‘La Bikina’, una canción mexicana compuesta por Rubén Fuentes en 1964. De acuerdo con el compositor más destacado de las últimas décadas, la copla fue escrita después de un paseo por la playa, donde su hijo le comentó que las mujeres que llevaban bikinis deberían llamarse “bikinas”. Sin embargo, hay otra versión inspirada en una leyenda del folclore mexicano en la época de Los Cristeros.

One of the most popular songs by Luis Miguel and heard on YouTube is 'La Bikina', a Mexican song composed by Rubén Fuentes in 1964. According to the most prominent composer of the last decades, the copla was written after a walk through the beach, where his son told him that women who wore bikinis should be called "bikinas." However, there is another version inspired by a legend of Mexican folklore at the time of Los Cristeros.
