Yeah, it's a pretty basic song (Honestly, I feel like a lot of Deftones stuff is pretty simple in song structure with their guitar), but it's very fun song to jam to. I think the hardest part of playing this song was the fact my guitar had to be so tuned down to the point my strings felt like god damn spaghetti.
I'm not really a fan of Deftones singer so I don't really follow what they do but I do love the low tone of the riffs. What note is it tuned down to? Many years ago I had an auto drop-d on my top string and that was kind of cool but these days some of the riffs are so low I wouldn't be surprised if they actually added another string to the top end.
Really? I feel like most people just obsess over Chino's vocals and the "vibes" the songs have anymore. I enjoy his vocals quite a bit, though he's definitely not my favorite.
I had my 7 string tuned down to F# B E A D G B. I believe for the past like 10ish years their guitar player has been using an 8 string guitar and playing in standard. But, I'm just too broke to afford buying an 8 string guitar right now, so spaghetti strings it is for some of these songs.
