I hope you guys all had a safe and happy holidays, I've been falling apart during my time and it's looking like a great start to the new year if my goal was to rot into a skeleton who collects shiny cardboard and play lots of 1's and 0's on a guitar. Speaking of guitar, I've got a new cover for you guys today. And, it's one that's probably a lot more digestible for those of you who aren't into super heavy music like I am, which I'm pretty sure is 99.5 percent of this entire platform. So, hopefully you like it. It was a really fun song to learn, even though it is tuned so far down my strings felt like wet noodles flopping around. I plan on having at least one other guitar video out this month, so I guess check back later for more, you digital sluts.

That does sound a little low. I did try one tune that called for drop-C. That made for a very floppy string.

I play in drop C all the time and that's probably my favorite tuning ever.
With this song, I was tuned down to F# B E A D F# B which I won't be doing again anytime soon, lol. Also, happy new years to you as well!

Yeah, it's a pretty basic song (Honestly, I feel like a lot of Deftones stuff is pretty simple in song structure with their guitar), but it's very fun song to jam to. I think the hardest part of playing this song was the fact my guitar had to be so tuned down to the point my strings felt like god damn spaghetti.
I'm not really a fan of Deftones singer so I don't really follow what they do but I do love the low tone of the riffs. What note is it tuned down to? Many years ago I had an auto drop-d on my top string and that was kind of cool but these days some of the riffs are so low I wouldn't be surprised if they actually added another string to the top end.
Really? I feel like most people just obsess over Chino's vocals and the "vibes" the songs have anymore. I enjoy his vocals quite a bit, though he's definitely not my favorite.
I had my 7 string tuned down to F# B E A D G B. I believe for the past like 10ish years their guitar player has been using an 8 string guitar and playing in standard. But, I'm just too broke to afford buying an 8 string guitar right now, so spaghetti strings it is for some of these songs.
