A Fresh Remix of my Old Original Song "Isolation"

Good day, everyone! It's Davood Faramarzi, also known as @davidfar. I'm excited to share another piece of music with you today, and I hope you enjoy it!

I received mixed feedback on this track, most people liked it, but one person pointed out grammatical issues in the lyrics and my pronunciation. However, I remember when I was studying English literature, I showed one of my lyrics to my professor, and he told me that poetry and songwriting are forms of artistic expression, so grammar isn’t something to worry about. He even said he wasn’t in a position to judge me (I say it was his kindness). So, I kept writing poetry in English as I am also writing in Persian.

However, my main focus was the message of the song. I hoped people would truly understand it, as that was more important to me than anything else. This song was inspired by conversations with people from around the world and also reflects parts of my own life experiences. One person I had been talking to was a man from Belgium. I hope he's doing well, as it's been quite some time since I last heard from him.

Isolation's Lyrics:

(Verse)

Isolation in box
Excitation inside
Conversation has died
Migration and lost
Combination of pain
Violation for gain
Duplication of past
Generation miscast

(Chorus)

Oppression and dance
Depression is mine
Nomination for death
Restoration but gone

Maybe the reason a native English speaker finds it unfamiliar is that I used a Persian poetic technique along with my own unique style of writing poetry and lyrics. Sometimes, I prefer to keep lines short, making them easier to sing. I also avoid writing lyrics like regular sentences—I break up words, leave parts unspoken, or encourage the audience to interpret the meaning rather than stating everything directly.

I believe this approach also exists in English poetry, such as using rhyme at the end of lines or sometimes at the beginning. Another technique I use in some of my songs is carrying over the last word or idea of one line into the next in a way that makes the meaning unclear unless both lines are read together.

Let me write and create 2 examples for it:

"They left and kill,
The joy of life."

or

"I never wanted,
this path I don’t trust it."

also, you can change first line to make it a little longer and better for singing, for example:
(Though it changes from simple past to present perfect but depends on your idea)

"I Have never wanted,
this path I don’t trust it."

Or, if you prefer the future tense:

"I Have never wanted,
this path I won't trust it."

This way, the full meaning only unfolds as the lines progress, adding a unique rhythm and depth to the lyrics.

Why did I create a remix of this track?

There are two reasons. First, I enjoy making music in various genres, and electronic music is one I simply can't resist. As you might know, I've produced tracks in Metal, Rock, Grunge, Blues, Acoustic, EDM, Ambient, and even Folk—which I’ll be sharing more of them with you later.
though you can still check them on my YouTube channel or Spotify:

The second reason is that I wanted to reach a broader audience. Since EDM and House music have a wider appeal, I decided to create this remix. Additionally, many people have told me that this is one of my best songs whenever I’ve played it in different places. I’ve received that feedback multiple times, especially here in Iran.

I still like to know about your opinions about this song, let me know which version did you like? and what was your idea about the music or lyrics.

Best wishes for you!

Peace & Love!

The remix is quite different to the original, but both have nice qualities. I'm more of an 'acoustic' guy, so the original is more my thing. It has a certain atmosphere.

Although I've written quite a few songs I do not always take in what others sing and will listen to music in other languages that I do not understand. The feelings can still come across. I have been through trying to get the right words that will fit the music and it can be hard.

Nice work.

Thank you, my friend! I completely agree—acoustic music has a unique charm. That’s why I often listen to unplugged versions of metal songs.

In the past, I struggled with some songs that I couldn't complete, but it was mainly because I lost the mood I originally had for them and couldn't recapture it. Songwriting can be really challenging at times.

Goodnight my friend, 2am here 🙌😀
