Y la negra bailaba

Hello Hivers! I am back here to share with you another music video. This time as I promised, the principal is the piano and it represents for me like a commitment because it is the first time I bring to you cuban music what is my favorite and my identity. Related with this topic I could talk to you for hours because it is one of the most important things for my professional career.
But for now, let´s talk a bit about this video in particular. It is from a live performance I did in the Cuban Art Factory (FAC in spanish) in Havana, Cuba. This piece is one of my favorite Dances written by Lecuona. As many of you might know, Lecuona is one of the most reknowned cuban musicians in the world and his music is performed worldwide. He was born in 1895 in a village named Guanabacoa with a rich and varied culture specifically afrocuban. Therefore, that rythms and melodies could be easily found in his music and are the main characteristic. This piece traduced as ¨And the black woman was dancing¨ is a joyfull melody with strengh and vitality that transports us to a nice world full of movement. I really hope you like it as much as I do and See you around!

¡Hola Hivers!

Beautiful.

I clicked it not knowing if I would be able to understand it. Fortunately piano isn't language specific. I don't always stop my wife from whatever she's doing to watch something but for this one I did. Cheers.

@dandays thank you very much. I'm glad that you liked it. Music has that power, to connect people. Greetings!

My pleasure. Sorry for being so rude the first time and not welcoming you to blockchain, I don't typically miss that on the introduction.

Welcome to Hive. 💖 Congrats on all the traction you're gaining in your first month, well deserved.
