I still remember how my entire family discovered NSYNC in the early 2000s. My eldest sister who worked as a sales representative at a movie rental store brought a CD plate that was supposedly meant to contain songs from Westlife home as we were all fans of their work. Fortunately for us the disc also contained five NSYNC songs which Bye bye so happens to be a part of. Back then we all loved "This I promise you" just because of how much it felt relatable to Westlife's catalogue but as time progressed we got absorbed into the rest.
To be honest I cannot remember the last time I played this song because of how bulky my playlists are. However the Deadpool and wolverine movie completely reignited my love for it once again. It blew up the song's popularity going as far as even adding the movie's name into the song on streaming platforms giving it a renewed fame once again.
Bye bye is a farewell song to a horrible partner who treats her lover poorly. I really loved the part where they said I don't wanna be a fool in this game of love so that means they have leave her behind to move on with their lives. Enough is enough even if she ends up hating them.. they don't care as long as they find the peace they crave, then everything will be ok.. I think people need to do this more often as it spares the heart more damage
