Briefly I'm going to dive into the intense magic world of under music and how's going on so far.

Hola, músicos y amantes de la música de Hive! Soy Catalina y recientemente entré al mundito de la band music. Soy la frontwoman (vocalista principal y guitarrista) de mi banda: Nefelibata 99.
Brevemente, voy a entrar al intenso mágico mundo de la música under y cómo nos está yendo, por ahora.

How we started.

Cómo empezamos.

Literally from scratch.
Berny (the baterist) and I were chilling with a group of friends and I took my ukulele, what happens to be left-handed. I joked "yeah, this mf can take your soul because it's left-handed and an ukulele", Berny answered "I'm left-handed too!", so I asked him if he can play the ukulele. And for me surprised, he played the ukulele and also the guitar. I jokling asked him if he wanted to be in a left-handed-band, and he totally agreed.
So we went to play togehter the next weekend.

Literalmente, de la nada.
Berny (el batero) y yo, estabamos con un grupo de amigos y yo saqué mi ukelele, que resulta que es para zurdos. Yo jodí "sí, este (REDACTED) puede robarse el alma porque es zurdo y es un ukelele", a lo que Berny respondió "¡Yo también soy zurdo!, así que le pregunté si sabía tocar el ukelele. Para mi sorpresa, sabía tocar el ukelele y también la guitarra. De chiste, le pregunté si quería formar parte de una banda exclusivamente zurda y él aceptó.
Así que, tocamos juntos a la próxima semana.

The Rough Demo.

This was the heavy part. Extracting the audio files from our visual demo (let's say, files from .mp4 to .wav) was something between easy and strange. I already know how to do that - it's part of what I'm studying, after all, but the quality was kinda uncanny (anyways, let's say it: it was amateur). Really sounds rough - just like the name of the demo. But we needed some audio files for sharing between other bands or events.
The funny part, they worked.
Those trashy handmade extractions worked so fine it's crazy for me.
The Bandcamp and the Soundcloud post it's exactly the same audio (hopefully, in stereo) file, extracted and carefully edited to sound better, exactly the same like our videos.

We started the 23 october, 2021, from the dust. But I hope for 2022 we will have the chance to play live, record in OKish quality or better and keep creating.

Acá la parte complicada. Extraer los audio files de los demos visuales (en términos técnicos, formato de .mp4 a .wav) fue algo entre fácil y raro. Yo ya tenía conocimientos de cómo hacerlo - es parte de lo que estudio, de todas formas, pero la calidad de éste seguía siendo rara (no importa, hay que admitirlo: era amateur). Realmente sonaba crudo - justo como el nombre del demo. Pero necesitabamos formatos de audio para compartir entre otras bandas y eventos.
Lo gracioso de todo, funcionaron.
Esas extracciones caseras raritas funcionaron completamente y me parece loquísimo. El DEMO en Bandcamp y en Soundcloud eran exactamente el mismo audio (por suerte, en formato estéreo), extraído y editado cuidadosamente para sonar mejor, extraídos exactamente de nuestros videos.

Empezamos el 23 de octubre del 2021, desde el polvo. Pero espero que para el 2022 tengamos la chance de tocar en vivo, grabar en una calidad decente o mejor y seguir creando.
