El hombre siempre ha vivido bajo la intriga de poder explorar desde su presente lo que ha dejado el pasado y lo que aguarda el futuro, tratando de conectar con lo que ha dejado el ayer y lo que se está preparando para mañana. Aún con una máquina del tiempo no bastaría para poder comprender las emociones que cada época ha evocado en su existencia, y como se han desenvuelto las personas en algún punto determinado de la historia. Con esto, no cabe duda de que algo que nos puede trasladar a un espacio de reflexión y contemplación sobre el tema es un punto que todas las generaciones tenemos en común, un punto a buen ritmo musical.

Man has always lived under the intrigue of being able to explore from his present what the past has left and what awaits the future, trying to connect with what yesterday has left and what is being prepared for tomorrow. Even with a time machine it would not be enough to understand the emotions that each era has evoked in its existence, and how people have developed at a certain point in history. With this, there is no doubt that something that can move us to a space of reflection and contemplation on the subject is a point that all generations have in common, a point at a good musical rhythm.

Son muchas las sensaciones que se pueden experimentar a través de la música, debido a la cantidad de sentimientos y emociones que exhiben a través de ella. Desde mi opinión, se me hace fácil conectar con esos temas musicales que a pesar de tantos años, siguen teniendo el mismo efecto de ayer, incluso hasta calando muy hondo en cada letra, cada frase con la que te sientes identificado. Así sin más, el tiempo sigue pasando para todo, pero los grandes temas musicales llegan a inmortalizarse de tal manera que supera cualquier barrera generacional y siguen vigentes con el mismo brillo y la misma intensidad de calidad.

Escuchar un buen tema musical es una forma de alegrar el presente a través de una hermosa melodía compuesta desde un pasado que no parece importarle que tan largo o corto es. Me resulta admirable ver como una canción de más de treinta o cuarenta años pueda tener un impulso y alcance tan efectivo, capaz de condicionar nuestro presente y nuestra manera de pensar. Incluso tu mismo pareces entender el sentimiento de aquel intérprete o cantautor que ha plasmado su inspiración en varias notas musicales, llenando nuestros propios sentimientos y pensamientos de modo muy especial.

There are many sensations that can be experienced through music, due to the amount of feelings and emotions that are exhibited through it. From my point of view, it is easy for me to connect with those musical themes that in spite of so many years, still have the same effect of yesterday, and even have a very deep impact in each lyric, each phrase with which you feel identified. Just like that, time keeps passing for everything, but the great musical themes become immortalized in such a way that they overcome any generational barrier and remain in force with the same brightness and the same intensity of quality.

Listening to a good musical theme is a way to brighten up the present through a beautiful melody composed from a past that doesn't seem to care how long or short it is. I find it admirable to see how a song more than thirty or forty years old can have such an effective impulse and reach, capable of conditioning our present and our way of thinking. Even you yourself seem to understand the feeling of that performer or songwriter who has captured his inspiration in several musical notes, filling our own feelings and thoughts in a very special way.

Cada vez que escucho alguna canción, siento que es una oportunidad de poder conectar con las emociones y sentimientos de alguien más, algo que en tiempo real sería imposible y más si se trata de algún cantante famoso. Incluso si fuera el caso de un cantante que ya no viva, aún así podríamos conectar con ellos gracias a la música, porque no existe barrera alguna que nos impida disfrutar de esos temas que estuvieron mucho tiempo antes que nosotros y que parecen esperar por muchos otros más. Por eso, no me sorprende que hoy muchos jóvenes se sientan identificados con canciones y cantantes que existieron cuando ni siquiera ellos habían nacido.

Cuando se trata de las baladas, me meto mucho en el desarrollo del tema, y me pregunto sobre lo que pudo haber sentido el cantante al interpretarla por primera vez, o enseguida asumo la idea de que la canción está estrechamente relacionada con una experiencia de su vida. Hasta me he encontrado con temas en los que me digo a mi mismo: “¡Vaya! Me pasó igual que a Arjona, Sanz o Chayanne”, y eso aumenta aún más mi conexión con sus canciones. Por momentos, hasta te sientes comprendido en una realidad que cobra más sentido gracias a esas grandes canciones de estos maravillosos intérpretes, siendo como una especie de terapia musical que responde a muchas inquietudes que puedas sentir en algún determinado punto de tu vida.

Every time I listen to a song, I feel that it is an opportunity to connect with the emotions and feelings of someone else, something that in real time would be impossible, especially if it is a famous singer. Even if it were the case of a singer who is no longer alive, we could still connect with them thanks to music, because there is no barrier that prevents us from enjoying those songs that were there long before us and that seem to be waiting for many more. Therefore, I am not surprised that today many young people feel identified with songs and singers that existed when they were not even born.

When it comes to ballads, I get very into the development of the song, and wonder about what the singer might have felt when first performing it, or I immediately assume the idea that the song is closely related to an experience in his or her life. I've even come across songs where I say to myself, "Wow, it happened to me just like it did to Arjona, Sanz or Chayanne," and that further enhances my connection to their songs. At times, you even feel understood in a reality that makes more sense thanks to these great songs of these wonderful performers, being a kind of musical therapy that responds to many concerns that you may feel at some point in your life.

Obviamente cada vez que escuchamos una canción, pensamos en el efecto que esta tiene sobre nosotros, pero ¿Alguna vez has pensado en lo que sientes aquel que interpreta dicha canción? Realmente es tan bonito como especial ver el sentimiento que le imprimen en el escenario, sobre todo cuando son canciones que le cantan al amor, ese tema que no parece faltar en las notas musicales de esos grandes cantantes. Ya sea por un amor que fue o que jamás llegó, por aquel que se sueña o se espera, lo cierto es que el amor se ha convertido en un ingrediente principal a la hora de poder conectar con esas canciones que se vuelven parte de nuestra vida desde el primer momento en el que pudimos escucharla.

Uno de los desafíos más grandes para las personas puede ser el de encajar en un grupo donde la variedad de gustos y personalidades sea fácilmente palpable. ¿Pasa esto en el plano musical? Realmente no. Y es que de manera muy práctica y fácil, podemos crear un círculo musical en el que proliferen muchas canciones, cada una en su género y tema, formando parte de un set especial al cual podemos acudir en cualquier momento. En mi caso, no soy de ir en una línea recta en cuanto a temas y géneros musicales, por lo cual puedo disfrutar de un amplio repertorio que se ajusta a cualquier momento determinado de mi vida, ese instante en el que no titubeo para elegir y escuchar una buena canción.

Obviously every time we listen to a song, we think about the effect it has on us, but have you ever thought about what the person performing the song feels? It really is as beautiful as it is special to see the feeling that they give on stage, especially when they are songs that sing to love, that theme that never seems to be missing in the musical notes of these great singers. Whether it is for a love that was or never came, for that which is dreamed or expected, the truth is that love has become a main ingredient when it comes to connect with those songs that become part of our lives from the first moment we could hear it.

One of the biggest challenges for people can be to fit into a group where the variety of tastes and personalities is easily palpable. Does this happen on the musical level? Not really. And the fact is that in a very practical and easy way, we can create a musical circle in which many songs proliferate, each one in its genre and theme, forming part of a special set to which we can go at any time. In my case, I am not one to go in a straight line in terms of themes and musical genres, so I can enjoy a wide repertoire that fits any given moment of my life, that instant in which I do not hesitate to choose and listen to a good song.

En algún punto de nuestras vidas, todos deseamos trascender en algo, dejar una huella por la cual se nos llegue a reconocer aún cuando ya no podamos más existir. En ese caso, la música nos ha superado en gran manera, y es que existen canciones que han prevalecido por mucho más tiempo del cual ninguno de nosotros podría pagar. Ante semejante realidad, solo queda aceptar el poder que tiene la buena música por mantenerse en un punto muy elevado, tan alto como aquellas sensaciones que nos permiten experimentar en cada cita y cada conexión que tenemos con una canción especial.

Dedicar una canción, entonarla con mucho sentimiento y emoción es una experiencia totalmente única y especial porque crea ese vínculo ideal entre la otra persona la música y tú. En este sentido, cabe destacar una hermosa frase : “ Por ti, yo sería música”, porque entiendo que para poder conectar en la inspiración, la emoción y el sentimiento de esa persona tan especial, sería capaz de convertirme en esa canción que no conoce de distancia ni tiempo para abrigarse de forma especial en el fondo de su corazón. Y si por ti yo sería música, tu serías la musa de esta valiosa inspiración.

At some point in our lives, we all wish to transcend in something, to leave a mark by which we can be recognized even when we can no longer exist. In that case, music has surpassed us in a great way, and there are songs that have prevailed for much longer than any of us could ever afford. Faced with such a reality, we can only accept the power of good music to remain at a very high point, as high as those sensations that allow us to experience in every appointment and every connection we have with a special song.

Dedicate a song, sing it with a lot of feeling and emotion is a totally unique and special experience because it creates that ideal link between the other person, the music and you. In this sense, it is worth mentioning a beautiful phrase: "For you, I would be music", because I understand that in order to connect in the inspiration, emotion and feeling of that special person, I would be able to become that song that knows no distance or time to be sheltered in a special way in the bottom of your heart. And if I would be music for you, you would be the muse of this valuable inspiration.
